I have to sing at my brother's wedding in a Methodist church. I get to pick the songs. :) The problem is, I am trying to make up my mind on which 3 to sing.(So many songs, so little time.) When you go to a Christian wedding what songs do you like to hear? Thanks!

I had O Perfect Love and Saviour like a Shepherd Lead us sung at my wedding... I think that I only had those 2 sung.

BTW... Bakershalfdozen was the one that sang them at my wedding!!!!

I had a grand time doing it!

Some of my favorites are:

The 2 Flourgirl mentioned

Whither Thou Goest, I Will Go

Yours Forever

A Christian Home

The Wilds produces a book that contains many wedding songs. Here is a link for that book...

We had these two sung

Steven Curtis Chapman's A Parents Prayer

Steve Green's Household of Love

Another one that I would have had sung would have been Steven Curtis Chapman's I Will Be Here

When You Created Love is an absolute excellent song with the Gospel.

Do you know where I can get a recording of that song?? (When You created love) I desperately need it for my parents' 25th anniversary.

Great hymns of the faith will never let you down!

I sang "The Sands of Time Are Sinking" to my wife at the reception of our wedding, acapella with hymn book in hand. biggrin.gif

The Bride eyes not her garment, but her dear Bridegroom’s face;
I will not gaze at glory but on my King of grace.
Not at the crown He giveth but on His pierced hand;
The Lamb is all the glory of Immanuel’s land.

I like that verse, however some of the other original verses of that are a bit odd. I think there were about 19 in all.

I cannot remember what hymns we had.

I did hear of one couple who had Fight the Good Fight.
