I just want to share my testimony real quick about video games especially RTS's and MMoG's..

I was enslaved for 3 years of my life by 2 games Warcraft 3: the Frozen Throne and World Of Warcraft both of which are sinful and evil games. They took away my social life, my relationships with family and eventualy started hurting my health. But praise God He took me from those and saved me, since then I have never played those 2 games again and tryed my best to stay away from similar games. I would recommend that if you are saved and have these two games THROW THEM AWAY! Not only are they full of witchcraft and evil they are life destroying. I would recommend getting rid of other games with witchcraft in them to.

Thank you, Marcus, for posting that......I wondered how long it would take for someone to post something like that on this thread. I'm oftened saddened when my sons come home from church and they say that the majority of the church boys have nothing better to talk about in Sunday school then the latest "T" or "M" violent video game they are playing at home. My sons are 12 and under, and this has been going on for more than 2 years.

As with all forms of entertainment we much excercise caution. There are video games that are downright wicked, there are those who some may be able to play without problems while others may become addicted, and there are those that are good games.

Years ago my brother-in-law got so hooked on Diablo II that he would spend almost every moment at home playing that game.

We are selective in what games we allow in the house.

It is a shame though that even among those in church, there seems to be a lot of acceptance for wicked video games, movies and other worldly things one might not expect to be a problem among church going families.

That is what we've seen as well. It is not what one would expect in an IFB church. It would be a very unpopular sermon indeed if the pastor got on his soapbox about it, too, because the kids tell me that many adults will confess they play these games as well!

I've noticed that oftentimes parents allow their children to dabble with sin and wickedness because it's something they themselves want to have a part in.

It's like the parents who will "amen" the preacher denouncing pornography but the night before they took their 15 year old children to an R-rated movie for "family night" at the theater!

Yes, I know exactly what you are talking about, but I seriously think that most of that stuff is "hidden" from other church members and the pastor when possible--beware parents! There are many people (like me) in every church that have several children in a wide variety of classes. Children tell on their families and their parents' standards more than one could ever imagine. I nearly fainted when my then 11 year old came home and asked me what the movie Patriot was about (Mel Gibson--rated R--need I say more?) because there were a couple of boys in his class bragging about seeing it!
