Change Your Church for Good: The Art of Sacred Cow Tipping

Pastor Brad Powell writes an easy-to-read, comprehensive guide to change and how to properly affect it within the church. Unlike many books, where the author merely sympathizes with the reader's wants and desires for change, Brad Powell actually details out how to bring about that change and how to do it Scripturally. He uses personal illustrations and stories of past failures to point out how NOT to do things. He speaks on the necessity of social relevancy within the church, and how we can do that without compromising truth.

In essence, this book teaches and shows how it is okay, to "tip over the sacred cow" of man-made, church-established traditions and cut right to truth, giving your church the opportunity to freshly affect the community in which God has placed it.

My Rating: 1 out of 10. I would subtitle it: "how to successfully creep in unawares and destroy a conservative bible teaching church and turn into a devil friendly seeker sensitive church filled with the lost and spiritually starving infant christians". :2cents

He speaks on the necessity of social relevancy within the church,

Forgive me for my ignorance, but I thought the Bible (KJB of course) was God's INFALLIBLE word. That is to say, God's word doesn't change for people, rather we/people are to change to fit God's word. God does not change for us, we are to change for Him.

Just my :2cents

I forgive you. You'll notice I referred to the relevancy of the church, not God's Word. The church has not ever been and never will be infallible. You find me a church that utilizes EVERY aspect of Scripture in EVERY possible way - and that will be a relevant church.

Oh, and thanks Rev for the added two cents - only bolsters the clout of the book, imo.
