I found out at church yesterday that Dr. Joe Boyd, long time evangelist and founder of Mt. Salem Revival Grounds went home to be with the Lord on June 1. I understand the funeral will be at First Baptist Church, Hammond In.

How sad!!! Bro. Boyd made a big impact on my life. I spent some time working both at Mt. Salem and in his office.

He's reunited with his wife now, and with the Lord he loved for so long.

My Grandpa always called him "Deeeeep Water Joe." :lol:

One time he was preaching away....he stopped right in the middle of his sermon, pointed at me and said," "LuAnne, you'd better marry a preacher." :lol: I did. No-one disobeyed Bro. Boyd! :lol
