Yes, certainly. I actually used Hershey bars for mine.

Side note, I decided to use milk chocolate instead of the semi-sweet that the recipe calls for. We tried it with both and thought the milk choc. tasted better. Also, I tripled dipped mine. It just wasn't enough choc. with only one dip. :lol

Since you are going to make these, let me mention some of the things I changed to suit our tastes.

1. I used milk chocolate, not semi-sweet (Hershey bars, to be exact)

2. I added more peanut butter. I tasted the mixture after adding the ingredients, and it wasn't "peanut-buttery" enough for me. I added a couple more spoonfuls.

3. I used pretzel sticks instead of toothpicks and then left the pretzels in the candy. It gave it an upside down lollipop effect.

4. I made them a little bigger than the recipe called for.

5. I dipped them and then put them back in the freezer for a few minutes, took them out, redipped, refroze and then redipped again. If you dip more than once, the chocolate has to be set up before you try dipping again.

6. I didn't do this but you can cut the recipe in half. This does make quite a few pieces of candy.

Allrighty ,I have some peanut butter to use up ,probably won't add to it since I don't really like pb to much unless its drown in chocolate.
