http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes ... 57,00.html <---- I seen this on his show (Alton Brown). He made it seem like it will taste better than storebrought fruit cakes. I am tempting to try it if I don't fail. This stuff have rum.. what can I use to replace the rum?

Just skip the rum. However, if there is enough of that in the recipe wherein the mixture needs it for the proper consistency, then substitute it with diluted molasses.

I can't stand the flavors those alcoholic beverages impart, even though the alcohol is long gone by cooking, evaporation or otherwise. That's just me, though. :Green
