1) a Crucifix is specifically a Catholic "Symbol".

Maybe in your world, but in reality, it's a Christian symbol. I'm not a Catholic and I have had one for as long as I can remember. My parents and grandparents aren't Catholics and they have one as well.

2) You have been given a warning. Don't come on a Baptist message board and start comparing Baptist theology and positions with cultists.

I didn't compare Baptist theology with cultist, I said that what you (you in this sentence means JERRY, not "Baptist theology") espouse echoes of what they espouse.

It is bible and baptist theology that a Crucifix, statues of Mary that are prayed to ect., are sin. Beside the idol issue, Mary is not in heaven praying for us and Jesus is not on the cross. :wink

And yes we do believe:
"Matthew 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."

There have been several post that mentioned bibles having to be smuggled into certain countries or regions. I was just wandering if anyone knew knew of specific places were this is happening today? Such as' date=' are there any countries who legislatively ban bibles or are there specific regions of the earth were the bible is banned for whatever reason? I know this was prominent during the heyday of the communist movement (although all religious literature was banned, not just the christian bible) but I haven't seen any credible evidence of it still going on today. Thanks for the help.[/quote']

I believe North Korea.
