If what we are going through is because of our sins, the sins of our fathers and our forefathers.  Let the mercy of God triumph over judgment. In Exodus 25 when God asked Moses to construct the Ark, he said " put inside the, the law and put beside the law, the rod that those who break the law, the rod will be use on them. He said onto of the ark, put a mercy seat, sitting on the law with two cherubim facing each other with the hands of prayers with ther wings spread over the mercy seat.

I am sitting on the mercy sit with the hands of prayer. May the lord have mercy on me and give me manners. Worms are running in my stomach.

If you have trusted the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation then the Lord God is not dealing with you on the basis of the sins of your ancestors, but on who you are in Christ. If you have not yet trusted in Jesus Christ alone for salvation (based upon His finished work upon the cross when He died for our sins), then now is the time to receive His mercy and grace through His gift of salvation.

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Yes, if God is judging/punishing a nation for their sins, that judgement will still affect true believers in that area (such as an earthquake or a tsunami, etc.) - but oftentimes God’s true people are spared in the midst of the catastrophe.

Keep your eyes upon the Lord, claim His promises, and don’t fear what may be happening to the lost around you. God is still in control.

All that being said, these are general Bible principles as I do not know what specific judgements or problems you are referring to. If you are truly God’s child doing God’s will then the Lord will have mercy on you and have His hand of protection over you. Worse comes to worse, He sometimes takes His children home to heaven to save them from a time of judgement that may be up ahead.
