I have a couple of prayer requests that I would like to bring forth. I don't usually make prayer requests on public forums, but, there are times I feel that I should.

My wife and I had our attorney file a lawsuit against a contractor who took a deposit for materials back in January, and who has never performed the work he was contracted to do. The man claims to be a Christian, as does his brother, who has been in contact with our attorney over the past several months over this issue. We have a September 6th court date in Civil Court in Coffee County, Tennessee. We have tried our best to be Christian about this situation, but, we believe that there are times when it's necessary to take someone to court, especially when they are using the name "Christian" and are acting as a business to con people out of their money. We still would like for this man to step up and pay what he stole back to us. The suit would be dropped in a heartbeat. But, we don't foresee that happening. It's very disconcerting to us to have to use the measures.

Then there is the fact that my breathing isn't good. There have been no conclusions reached in my testing, good or bad, but they do know that I'm not getting enough oxygen when I lie down to sleep at night. I've been getting on an average of 3 hours a night sleep. It definitely makes functioning every day a challenge. I am in pulmonary rehab, and it's something I plan to finish, but, it really isn't addressing the real issue of being in need of oxygen. My oxygen saturation is showing as good, in the high 90s, but, it's clear to everyone that I'm not getting the oxygen I need to function. Most of my tests on my heart came back good except for a blockage in one of the arteries leading to the heart. No surgery is required at this time. After Brother Jim's homegoing, I'm very thankful for this. Surgery frightens the bajeepers out of me.

Thank you in advance for your prayers.

Update: While at pulmonary rehab yesterday, I received a text from my attorneys paralegal. She stated that the contractors brother, who also the business partner named in the suit, has inquired on what it would take to end the suit and keep them from having to go to court on September 6. He was told it would take the amount appropriated from us and the court filing fees. This would all have to be done by August 30th. Once again the brother has made the promise to have it covered by then. We are praying that will transpire. I still have been instructed to notify the Tennessee State Attorney Generals office and the Tennessee Division of Consumer Affairs, as well as the state licensing board, and Angi's List as well as NetWorx and Home Depot, all of whom recommended and vouched for these people. Fraud seems to be running rampant in that company as was recently revealed by newly published reviews on the company. I am a reviewer for Google, and the review for this company will carefully show why they should not be trusted. It's sad when people naming the name of Christ are thieves. I'm still praying for them to repent and live like the Christians they claim to be.

On my breathing, Thursdays evaluation wasn't good. I was short of breath all throughout the session and I had to use my inhaler at least three times in less than 45 minutes to sustain my ability to breathe. Please continue to pray.

Pray for my brother. Pray he gives his life to Christ and overcomes battles in his life. Pray he comes to repentance of his sons. Pray God protects our communication and relationship in Jesus Name  Pray God keeps His Hand of Protection over us always. Pray for our family
