Prayer for a coworker

Please pray for one of my coworkers, John. He is in his 60's has had bad heart problems, and found out today that he is eat up with cancer. He came to work a week or so ago completely yellowish orange, even his eyes. We all knew something was bad wrong. He had been complaining about severe back pain. As it turns out, he has advanced pancreatic cancer, it has literally laserated his liver (which has caused him to have brown urine for a few weeks now,) and the cancer has grown up and wrapped around his spine. John is a Viet Nam vet and a really swell guy.

Importantly, I have serious doubts about John's salvation. He grew up Lutheran and knows about the Lord, but in talks we have had, he seems influenced by liberal modernism. Please pray that the Lord will deal with him before he goes. He thinks he has 6 mos. to a year.
