Members Donut_brand_donuts Posted February 23, 2023 Members Posted February 23, 2023 Our pastor was out at a conference so we had a guest speaker preaching on praying without ceasing and it was a blessing. swathdiver and Pastor Matt 1 1 Quote
Members BrotherTony Posted February 23, 2023 Members Posted February 23, 2023 My wife and I are seldom able to attend Wednesday evening services in our church. Time/financial constraints prevent that most of the time. When we are able to attend, we really like it. Most of the time it's a Bible study and a time of fellowship, which is very good. Quote
Administrators Pastor Matt Posted February 23, 2023 Administrators Posted February 23, 2023 Our midweek Bible Study service is on Thursday evenings. Definitely a lot smaller crowd than Sundays swathdiver 1 Quote

I am kidding of course, but it certainly seemed to give some people a reason to stop coming altogether, plenty of our visiting people at their homes involves people who used to come to church and stopped because of COVID and encouraging them to get back to it. 20 minutes ago, PastorMatt said: Our midweek Bible Study service is on Thursday evenings. The refreshing that comes from the preaching and praying in the congregation really helps get me back on track when my week starts to fall of the rails due to work or life. More people should come and experience that blessing. swathdiver, BrotherTony and Pastor Matt 3 Quote
Administrators Pastor Matt Posted February 23, 2023 Administrators Posted February 23, 2023 When we first started Highpoint our midweek service was actually larger than our Sunday morning service, this went on for about 2 years. Since now our Thursday night services are now small, I guess you can consider us a real Baptist Church now To get our numbers up a little bit, we started having youth group on Thursday night which has helped a lot Quote
Members swathdiver Posted February 24, 2023 Members Posted February 24, 2023 Our Sunday evening and Wednesday services are about the same still as is Sunday School. I pray for the ability to attend regular services again. Am thankful for watching it on tv but it's not quite the same of course. Quote

Lately I've been well enough to be in physical attendance, and I'm thankful for that. I've been watching on the internet, but, it's NEVER been the same. Having fellowship with others is a necessary part of the Christian life for growth, encouragement, and for involvement in the body. Pastor Matt, Jim_Alaska, swathdiver and 1 other 1 2 1 Quote
