Okay' date=' so the delivery mechanism was NOT eBay but UPS. Therefore, do you still blame eBay for the delivery delay? Or do you blame the actual seller and/or UPS?[/quote']

I blame UPS, because they had specific instructions to take the delivery item to my hubby's work not his home. It says his work address right on the tag and on the receipt. Now, how did that happen? :lol

I suppose anyone who uses Ebay will eventually run into some delay because of a family issue. We had just won an auction when we went into the hospital 2 weeks ago to have our baby, and my hubby totally forgot to pay for it for like a week. He got an email from the seller asking if we really wanted the item then, and then we paid for it right away after that because we really did want it! My husband sent an email explaining that we had just gone into the hospital to have a baby...but it probably sounded like an excuse to the seller.

I quit using ebay. It seems that the shipping cost is almost the same as the product. I would sell something that I think be valuable like an old childhood toy.. but the rest is going to a yardsale. We are having a yardsale in about 2 weeks, I hope.

Its true...shipping has become outrageous, plus people are charging more and more for "handling costs". There are fewer and fewer people now who are only charging straight shipping.

I shop around everywhere, usually comparing the main local stores (check online for prices) and Amazon.com and Ebay. If I can find something on Ebay for cheaper I will buy it, but generally it can be found cheaper elsewhere....people are just so used to buying Ebay!

Lately though, shipping has been horrible. I don't know if its the sellers or just my local post offices but somehow I am still getting regular Amazon orders very quickly, and JCP and stuff like that...but the individual sellers items are taking forever to get to my doorstep.
