Questioning One's Belief Or View Of Scriptural Meanings

When various views are put side by side in comparison most clearly (to me anyway, others may see things differently) are weak and can be set aside. That leaves only a few to look at closer which further narrows things down, perhaps to the two strongest views which then allows one to really focus in and study and pray through the matter.

A biblically weak viewpoint is no threat to those who have a strong biblical viewpoint.

What year after 70AD did they stop using the mark of beast to buy and sell?

What year did they stop worshiping the beast and his image? Where is that statue or image today? What happened to it?

Who was the whore? If Jerusalem how did it raise again?

Who was the 10 horns?

Who was the 7 heads?

Who was the 2 witnesses? So many people seen them what happened to the record?

Why did God record so much history in the Bible but leave out something so great as the end? Now that we are living in the "after the end" what is next? The end came in 70AD and Jesus reign came to an end in 1070AD why didn't He create that new heaven and earth? Is this the new earth?

How much damage was done to the earth when the stars fell from heaven? Where did they hit? Can we visit the impact craters today?

In 70AD when Jesus returned why didn't the Mount of Olives split into?

How did Jesus rule in a city that was destroyed? Why did Jesus let Rome keep killing the christians during his 1000 year reign? He had that rod of Iron, right? Why did Jesus let Islam come about during his 1000 year reign? After the 1000 years where did Jesus go?

Excellent Questions!  And, we are nearly 950 years past the Millennial reign, why isn't the lion eating straw like the bullock?  Why isn't the wolf lying down with the lamb?

Another excellent question...

4. Deprives Israel of Her Future.   Preterists insist that God is finished with Israel.  Many of them teach that it is actually Jesus who breaks the covenant with Israel in Daniel 9:26-27.  In essence, Preterism pits Jesus against Israel and therefore smacks of anti-Semitism.  Preterists actually teach that the “Babylon” of Revelation 17-18 is Jerusalem!  Therefore, the fall of Jerusalem in AD 70 represents Christ’s ultimate triumph over unbelief.
If God broke His everlasting covenant with Israel, how do we know He will not break His covenant of everlasting life with us?

Why are there always more questions than answers?

Jesus explained the two witnesses: Luke 16:29-31 The Jewish leaders persistently rejected their own Scriptures. Those who reject their Messiah are not Israel, NOT children of Abraham. John 8:39-44

Those of Israel who believe God are the true Israel, who believe in their Messiah, Jesus the LORD. Gentiles are grafted into that company, & Israelites who repent are regrafted in. Rom. 11.

It is important to misrepresent what others teach in order to be able to refute your own misunderstanding. - Satirical comment.

Israel has a glorious future, in the New Covenant in the blood of Christ, centred on the Lord Jesus Christ, beginning with a present relationship established on an individual basis by repentance & faith, with the promise of the resurrection to the New Heaven & New Earth. At death their & our souls live & reign with him in heaven. Rev. 20:4

[The 1,000 years will run on until shortly before Jesus returns. Unlike the 70 weeks that ran for 490 years, until the Holy Spirit declared the Jews who rejected their Messiah "uncircumcised." Acts 7:51 ]

Sadly, those who persistently reject their Messiah show that they are not children of Abraham, whatever their claims, & are therefore not Israel, whatever they call themselves. John 8.

Jesus cannot break his covenants. He CONFIRMED THE COVENANT. Daniel refers to God UPHOLDING HIS COVENANT by the Babylonian captivity. Dan. 9:4-7 Dan. 9:27 Lev. 26:15-17 He then enters the covenant himself to suffer the consequences in himself of the broken covenant, in order to confirm the covenant & save his people. Lev. 26:40-46 To this day the land lies desolate. When Jesus returns, all the glorious promises & prophecies will be gloriously fulfilled in the NH&NE.

God's wrath against those who rejected their Messiah was completed by the destruction Jesus prophesied (Mat. 24, Mark 13, Luke 21) in AD 70. Jews around the world are in the same condition as all mankind - sinners who need the Gospel, & who are welcomed into the Kingdom of Jesus on repentance. Col. 1:12-14

Note the rejection of the 2 witnesses in Stephen's speech:

35 This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush.

36 He brought them out, after that he had shewed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea, and in the wilderness forty years.

37 This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear.

42 Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness?

43 Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.

48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,

49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?

50 Hath not my hand made all these things?

51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:

53 Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.

Right like the how Matthew 24 links up with Daniels' 70 weeks.

Mat 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) ....There is no gap here this happened in 70AD..... Mat 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

That's why the gap theory falls apart. Jesus returned. He fulfilled his covenant to return when the temple was corrupted by the abomination.

Partial preterism does not teach that Jesus returned in 70 AD, that was the part of Jesus answer to the question from the disciples that was still future.

Remember, there were 3 questions involved in that one verse. Involving the near future, and the distant future.

2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, (1)when shall these things be? and (2)what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of (3)the end of the world?

Did Jesus get the order of events wrong in Matthew 24?

15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 70AD

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 2014 +? = ???? AD

34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. 70AD

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. 1070AD

If 70AD works for 15 and 34 then the Jesus got the order wrong, verse 30 should be after verse 35. Or 70AD is the wrong date. 2014-70=1944 years. So for 944 we have been living in the new earth.

No, Jesus did NOT get the order wrong. His prophecy clearly related to the AD 70 destruction, occurring within the lifetime of this generation. He gave specific warning signs about when the believers should flee to the mountains before the destruction.

He was also warning, in his parable of the husbandmen & the vineyard, that he would come & destroy them & give the vineyard to others. We should therefore understand the destruction as a form of his coming - in clouds, therefore not visible in person. There are many references to the LORD appearing in clouds in the OT

Exo. 40:34 Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

35 And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

Our understanding of prophecy has to make sense, complying with other Scriptures. Remember there were no inspired witnesses of the destruction.

What year after 70AD did they stop using the mark of beast to buy and sell?

What year did they stop worshiping the beast and his image? Where is that statue or image today? What happened to it?

Why did God record so much history in the Bible but leave out something so great as the end? Now that we are living in the "after the end" what is next? The end came in 70AD and Jesus reign came to an end in 1070AD why didn't He create that new heaven and earth? Is this the new earth?

How much damage was done to the earth when the stars fell from heaven? Where did they hit? Can we visit the impact craters today?

How did Jesus rule in a city that was destroyed? Why did Jesus let Rome keep killing the christians during his 1000 year reign? He had that rod of Iron, right? Why did Jesus let Islam come about during his 1000 year reign? After the 1000 years where did Jesus go?

And if Jesus reigned for 1000 years already, why did He allow the Throne that He reigned from disappear?  Why did He allow the Temple He reiigned from be destroyed and an Islamic mosque be set up in its place?  Why is there still death after the Millennial reign? Sickness?  Disease?

Preterism is a big joke.  Those who embrace and promote that heresy called "preterism" are deceiving and being deceived.

You really need to decide WHAT the abomination of desolation IS first.

Then not look at all the events mashed together like some people do.

And just because you 'think' it's out of order, does not mean you are right in your surmising.

As for the new earth comment? You are just being silly.
