America's problem

You know what, if the current leaders (all of them, current and future) cannot put aside their selfish desires and lusts to forward the country...then we are all in a mess. The entire country is full of nothing but selfish people. Just the other day, my husband was driving in a school zone and making complete stops at stop signs and the lady behind him pulled up and started screaming at him for going "too slow"! People are just angry and selfish and think the entire world revolves around them and their "Rights". Our politicians are no different.... I'm really getting tired of reading about the bailout....and the debates....and the election....ugh.

You know, I read "Lord of the Flies" one time. I don't recommend it, I think it a public school required reading (or used to be) as it is a deeply symbolic book and not a very pretty one. Basically it shows what happens to a group of kids lost on an island with no adult leadership. Sometimes I feel our country is heading that way...basically on the road to self destruction from the inside, from angry, lustful people.

And...as far as "Lord of the Flies?" They made us read that book in public high school. I thought it was awful reading back then.

The books that they give our children...including corrupted history books in public school, are just as bad as what is on TV, IMO. It is pure filth for their minds.

You are right Suzy. However, unless there is a major revival or another Great Awakening, I don't see things truly getting any better. Sure, at some point things may appear on the surface to be a bit better, but in reality I think things will continue to get worse and God's judgement falls ever harder upon America.

That would be nice to see someone "Bring the house down so to speak" John, but like you said and I agree, it seems like its only going to get worse.
