The name was not showing for Linda in her search, until she clicked New since last two weeks  on the left hand side of members screen.

To tell you the truth, HC, I believe a lot of the names that have been created but no posts are "sleeper" names.  DaV's was created several days before he posted his first post.  So were a couple others that recently got bnned.

If they are coming from the same person, is there any way that BroMatt can ban the IP Address?

A lot of these types use proxy stealth servers.  Hard to ban any one IP and get more than one.

Years ago, I used to sign onto Paltalk from Bentonville VA, but the IP showed different locations every time I signed on... even in Germany.

There are programs that will use proxy servers for anonymity.

I know numbers always look impressive on Forum Boards, but BroMatt may need to go through and clean names that have been created where there are zero posts.  That may take care of the majority of the prOBlem.  Many trolls depend on sleeper names.

So, they just go in, look at a name, then chose from names not used for awhile?  I call that stealing someone's identity.

Not necessarily stealing a name.  They may have created the name in the past to keep as a fall-back

They use programs such as IP Camouflage to go to Forums under different IP's.  IP Camouflage is a free ID camouflage service to all users, change your IP on the fly and cloak your personal computer from intruding networks.

More than likely, BroMatt or HC may be able to look at DaV's IP and see if he used more than one in his many sign-ons.  If he did, he is using a program such as IP Camouflage.

They aren't the same addresses, so if it is the same person rather than being a few he is likely using the camouflage.
