Maybe we all need to remember when we post on an open forum its an open conversation to everyone that's a member & if someone replies with a reply we don't care for we should try & give a polite response even if we disagree with them.

That is whether we post a topic on onlinebaptist or just reply to a topic someone else has started everyone has a right to reply to your thoughts just as you have the right to reply to others. And they have the right to reply even if they disagree with you.

Merry Christmas to all & I hope we will keep it merry here at onlinebaptist.

I wholeheartedly agree, but when people who don't agree with a message that is Scripturally sound enter the discussion, the threads ultimately get locked due, not to their disagreement, but due to their attacking the messenger because pride will not allow them to admit they cannot refute a message that goes against what they have learned theough tradition or lack of proper Biblical study.

Their pride will not allow them to admit they are Scripturally wrong. So, they accuse the messenger of being prideful and wrong.

No surprise. The religious crowd of Jesus' ministry often accused Him falsely too.

Threads on this forum do generally get locked for attitude, but it's usually not the bad attitude of one 'side' alone.  Harsh words are generally exchanged from both parties before a thread gets bad enough to get locked. Remember it takes two to tango. :wink

The thread was closed b/c I reported you to the moderators, SFIC.  End of story!

Sigh. Things are rarely quite as simple as that. Remember I said both parties. I'm going to lock this thread now just to make sure things stay civil.  It's Christmas, folks.

Oh, and Merry Christmas, Jerry!
