I believe they've been lying. Remember they had to pass Obamcare before they could read it to see what's in it.

Maybe we should all train a up a doctor or two in our churches to take care of the members as in the old days?  Some of the larger churches could get their hands on x-ray machines and cat scans and such, others dentistry, others eyes, etc.

Before the government really got into healthcare matters, many small towns had their own local doctors, some had their own local hospital and healthcare was actually easier to get to and those taking care of you usually knew you.

 

When I grew up this little town had a hospital and local doctor. Now I have to travel a half hour or more to get the same things done that in the 60s and 70s I could get done right here.

 

We do have a local clinic run by a nurse practitioner who is the granddaughter of the local doctor I had as a child. She's also a member of our church, as are three of her four employees. So, to an extent, our church has some healthcare handy.
