I'm very surprised by the tiny number of respondents to this thread:

http://onlinebaptist.com/messageboards/ ... 70#p395970

Most members have expressed their intent to vote (or have voted) and express their desire that America were not so wicked and would love to see revival.

All that being the case then we should be united in prayer for Christ is the answer and His Father has promised to act if His people rightly call to Him.

Please visit the thread and respond if the Holy Ghost so moves your heart.

The thread was posted the night of October 29th, but what I was considering was the number of folks who have been here since that time and have not responded.

For whatever reason, the prayer forum is so little utilized and when it is, the responses tend to be few. Why are we not more involved in prayer with our OB brothers and sisters in Christ?

Thank you for your prayers Suzy, they are certainly appreciated. Please, if you would, at least take the time to post a prayer smilie so others may receive the encouragement such provides.

Just for a little context, the other thread has been up for just short of 48 hours now and in just the past 24 hours alone OB has had:

I just responded, John. I didn't see the thread until tonight. :smile God bless.

I responded, I usually DO read most all of the prayer requests, I do not always respond, though. I believe the vast majority of Christians will be in prayer over this election. Even my mil, who NEVER votes, is going to vote in this election. Like many of the rest of us, she is EXTREMELY concerned about the possibility of Barack Obama as President.

All prayers are appreciated.

The reason a response is nice, even if it's just to post the prayer smilie, is so folks know others are praying. It's a comfort and encouragement to KNOW someone is praying. Several folks have mentioned they don't use the prayer forum much because it seems the posts there are ignored and that can be discouraging.

Our church spent alot of time tonight praying for the election.

Part of me feels like we deserve Obama though...I just prayed for God to have mercy on the remnant for a few more years...
