Then according to you, several in this Hall of Fame thread were servants of the devil while their preaching helped tens of thousands be born again and edified the body of Christ.

That's no worse than they did in the Hyles thread!

While I'm familiar with those being discussed in this thread, I'm not that familiar with Hyles. I've tried to learn more but one person suggests this book, someone else that book, another a different book. Of course, each book leans differently and fits the view of the one suggesting it. I can't afford to read a half dozen books just so I can try to decipher truth from error among them and come to a sound conclusion.

If there were one sound book on Hyles, or by Hyles, or a website to read, then I would be interested in such.

Perhaps you should say, perhaps they helped tens of thousands to become born again Christians.

Remember, only Jesus can judge who is or not saved.

Although the RCC thinks they have the authority to declare people saints, & the Mormons thinks their records they keep of who is baptized into their church, that in that day Jesus will come by the place they keep their records picking them up & will determine from their records who will enter heaven.

There is a book available, a biography of Dr. Hyles. It too may be a bit biased, as it was written by his daughter. It is called "The Fundamental Man" It is available through
"Hyles Publications
523 Sibley St.
Hammond Ind. 46320

This is the address of First Baptist Church where he preached. I believe there is a web site now called "Hyles publications.com", but I cannot say for sure.

I have posted a page where all his books are available for downloading. None of his work is copy written, so it is free domain. Edited by irishman

I have Bro. Hyles in my file for the preachers hall of fame, but may not post it since it causes too much excitement on the board. Haven't decided for sure yet though, I do think he is as deserving as the rest of them.

I think the Sword of the Lord has a book on Hyles as well. I'll have to check their website, the ad from the latest Sword ended up in the recycle tub.

I wonder if I were to post pictures of Hitler, or John Wilkes Booth, or "Jack the Ripper", if curiosity would not bring more views than these great men of the faith?
