It's far easier for us to look at what we think we are losing in this life without seeing what we gain for eternity by the grace of God, and not only that, the abundant blessings God has in store for us in this life as well!

Is a life of sleeping around when one feels like it, getting drunk every weekend and feeling as if one is in control really anything to be concerned with losing in comparison to what God grants us when we surrender our lives to Christ? Will any of what we fear losing be a comfort to us if we find ourselves in the torments of hell for eternity? Of course not!

We are far too short sighted and for most folks, far too biblically illiterate. How sad that many think hell is nothing more than a place where they can hang out with their friends and enjoy the pleasures of sin for eternity. Equally sad they think of heaven as a place where they must sit on a cloud and play a harp forever.

People need the Gospel, they need to hear the truth of Scripture.

Yes, so it seems, they just can't come to understand this true thought, another great quote.

That's a fact! Sadly, most people don't think too much about the future, only about today or the next weekend. It's too common to think one has a long time, like maybe wait until they are in their 90s, to think about such things. If they knew and believed Scripture they would know that none of us know how much time we have and now is the time to be born again because we might not have another chance.
