One thing we can all agree on is that HE IS COMING AGAIN!! Amen? :icon_mrgreen:

Amen! Git right or git left!

1 Thessalonians 5:1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.

1 Thessalonians 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

1 Thessalonians 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

1 Thessalonians 5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

1 Thessalonians 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

1 Thessalonians 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sOBer.

Whenever He comes, He will be right on time!

Most of us here prOBably could agree on that, but there are some professing Christians who think once they have made the earth perfect, Christ won't have to return.

That is a JW teaching and it is amazing how that is creeping into the church.

His return is going to happen no matter what anyone says. When? Soon I pray. John said Rev. 22:20 "...Even so, come Lord Jesus."

It would be nice if all of us (Christians) were to focus upon the main aspect of all this, and that is striving daily to grow closer to the Lord, pursuing holiness purposefully, and doing what we can to spread the Gospel.

This is what we are called to do as we eagerly await Christ's return. Far too much attention is given trying to set dates or to even trying to find "proof" we are the last generation or that Christ will return before we or our children die. Rather than so many programs, books and sermons looking at the ever-changing daily news events for evidence of that Christ is almost here, we need much more reminding and encouraging us to be diligent in putting away the things of the world and taking on Christ so that we may be as Christlike as possible when He does return. We need to be busy about the Lord's work for our lives, which He declares He has a work for each of us, so that if the Lord does return in our lifetime He will find us about His business and not selfish or worldly pursuits.

Would we rather be watching a worldly movie, trying to gain money for ourselves, indulging in worldly entertainments, doing anything but what the Lord has called us to...or would we rather be in church, at a Bible study, reading the Word, praying over a sacrificial check we are sending to missionaries, witnessing to a friend, talking to our children of Christ, being about the Lord's business when Christ returns?
