Board Upgrade

In the next day or two we will be doing a small upgrade to the the boards. During this time the boards will be down for a couple of hours, but when back online you will notice a few new features. Here is a few things you will notice.

Link Sharing
As most Facebook and Twitter users have discovered, sometimes you see a link to a great article or topic and want to share it with your friends and followers. This new feature makes this very easy to do.

Status Updates
You will have ability to comment on a member's status. Of course, the member has the option to lock their status so member can comment.

Twitter Integration
You will be able to link your account with your Twitter account.

New MOBile Skin
MOBile skin for many popular devices to enable easy access Online Baptist. Also, an App for the Iphone will be available.

Automatic Media Embedding
Automatic parsing of YouTube and other media into posts. What does that mean? Just post YouTube URL with no tags and it will automatically embed the video.

Topic Preview
Preview the first few lines of a topic without loading the entire topic.

The upgrade of the forums is complete. I still have to bring back a few features, but the majority of it is done.

I forgot to mention that one of the new features is the ability to customize your profile page.

I really like the changes I've seen recently, but, I still can't get to my status updates, from anywhere! Whenever you can get to it, please HELP! I had one up there the other day, deleted it and now can't put one up there again! Of course, I reckon that's partly my own fault.
