Do you try new recipies or do you stick with the same ol thing over and over again? I have started trying out at least 1 new recipe a week or sometimes every other week (depending on the food allowance) there have been some hit and misses but atleast it's a change. Do you try out new recipies or experiment? What have you tried and how often?

I am not a big fish/seafood eater, but my hubby likes it. I always look at the fresh fish in the grocery store, but I just do not know that much about preparing it. He likes crab cakes, fresh salmon, flounder.... does anyone have any suggestions as to how to prepare these types of fish?

I've spent way too much this Thanksgiving & Christmas on food items.... get togethers, traveling, etc. just all the things that can make food costs go up. I'm ready to buckle down again, and trim that food budget, but I'm curious..... I've read quotes about how much some frugal people spend on groceries, and it sometimes seems impossible to me. Are they quoting strictly edibles, or are they including foils, plastics, detergents, etc....? What area of the country do you live in, and what is your food bill (with or without the shampoos, tissue, etc...)? I live in the southeast, have a family of 6, including 4 adults & 2 teens, and my average costs run around $150-…

Recipes from Alabama?

My church is having its annual missions banquet on Friday. We divide up into groups, and each group picks a place, and you do a display about that place and cook some foods from that place. My friend's group is working on Alabama, and is having trouble finding recipes from the area. I thought maybe someone here could help me help her! Does anyone have any recipes from Alabama?

Does anyone ever actually use these??? I fixed a chicken for dinner last night and as I pulled the neck and giblets out of the body cavity I thought to myself, "This is gross; who uses a chicken neck?" :barfy: I guess some people do use these things or else they wouldn't include them in the chicken.

Have you tried those yogurt-covered cheerios yet? I tried the strawberry flavored ones and they are yuuuuuummmmyyy!!! They aren't all covered with yogurt. Probably 1/2 - 2/3 of the bag are regular cheerios and the rest are yogurt covered. The taste isn't overwhelming that way. Very delicious!

I need some fresh ideas and suggestions on how to store my recipes. How do some of ya'll store yours? Do you have a certain system that you use? I thought about putting them all in a photo album, this would help preserve them and keep them clean. I am thinking of putting them in alphabetical order. One of my resolutions is to be more organized this year! I am open to all suggestions and ideas!
