Are you for or against, YouTube preaching. In my experience watching preaching on YouTube, It’s pretty good, but not the same thing as being in person for service. Many pastors, don’t mind preaching on YouTube their services, but, there are some that, I imagine don’t like posting on YouTube. For one reason or another, that’s OK too. Can you share your experience, there is no right or wrong here. Edited to delete the GIF. Administrator

So I thought a light-hearted thread might be fun...got any good news or blessings to share? I'll start... This past Saturday we had the baby shower for my DIL and my soon-to-be-born first grandchild, Asher. I know you all know this, but I am SO EXCITED! Add to that my niece is expecting a boy in July. Asher will have a cousin to be growing-up friends with. We had a lot of ladies at the shower, most of whom were church ladies from our church and the one Sarah grew up in. I was able to share the gospel in the event that someone wasn't saved. But we talked about rearing a child in the way he should go...and how Jesus is that Way. Sarah and Asher were cel…

Around eight years ago, my son took the test to join the Army, he passed the test with high numbers no problem, but when it came to the physical, he could not enter because he was allergic to wasp bites. I told him recently they’ll probably take you now, he answered. It’s too late, when I wanted to join, they didn’t let me. This was done during the Obama ministration, when they were downsizing our military. https://www.stripes.com/branches/army/2023-01-18/army-soldiers-recruiting-requirements-8809987.html

I’m sitting out here in front of the store waiting for my wife as she’s finish making her purchases. There’s a gentleman outside axing for two dollars for a cup of coffee please. I see people giving him money but he continues to ask for two dollars for a cup of coffee, finally came to me and looked at me and said can I have two dollars for a cup of coffee. I was going to tell him with all that money collected, you can buy me a cup of coffee, but I just told him no. I don’t have two dollars for a cup of coffee. There’s been a lot of people begging for money lately, the Holy Spirit will tell you when to give.. .

If you've previewed any of it... Do you think it brings dishonor to Jesus Christ?

I have my own thoughts about this particular subject, but thought I would ask what others think about it. The subject is preachers kids, supposedly being called to preach. Do you think their call is valid most of the time? Or may many of these be just the wishes of the parents, even to the point of them "grooming" their kids to be preachers? There just seem to be so many preachers kids that also go on to be preachers, that it begs this question to be addressed.

Our pastor was out at a conference so we had a guest speaker preaching on praying without ceasing and it was a blessing.

The modern day commercial gym is far too immodest for me to go. But I think some form of fitness is a good goal to strive for. What do you all tend to do to stay in shape?

I am a bit bewildered by this news I share. Now I know the source is one I dont consider conservative enough, but the reporting seems to be well researched after reading the article. I love John MacArthur's preaching for the most part, but apparently some of his elders did wrong on multiple occasions. They protected some husbands suspected of spouse and child abuse and implicated the wives as the problem in their marriage counseling. Again those of us who hold to a plain reading of scripture are belittled on social media. The worst part is this man, this teacher, this elder I greatly respect is doubling down on his elders doing the right thing. I feel dejected, not unlike…

Facebook would ask me, "What's on your mind, David?" Sadly, I have some reservations about putting it out on Facebook. Or at least not yet! I hope I'm not speaking of anyone here but, please, no replies in the form of excuses. How many Christians are following the world's example of continual 'smart phone', computer laptop/desktop, or TV screen use? This is where the world is worshipping their god. Their god of progress technology consumes them, and they are worshipping at it's alter. Their god controls nearly every aspect of their lives. They burn their dinner, they have accidents, they ignore the people they love, they risk almost anything to get to their…

10 US Banks Participating in Test of Interoperable Digital Money Platform Are we heading into a global monetary system? Is this a prelude to a speedier one world government? It seems like Bible based prophecy is occurring at an exponential rate in the past two years.

I got in line to pay for my gasoline. Two people in front of me, one purchase five single packs of cigarettes totaling $52 dollars and the second person brought one totaling eight dollars. I thought, I could fill my gas tank with those 6 packs of cigarettes.

Did you know that the US is among the last nations in the world to still require foreign visitors to have a Covid vaccine? Y’all need to get on your politician’s cases and get that silly rule out of there. I have friends I want to come visit. ??

Well, Christmas did not bring a gender reveal for our coming grandbaby. But New Year's Day did! If you didn't guess from the title of the thread, the BABY IS A BOOOOYYYY! We are beyond thrilled, although we would be thrilled with a girl, too. The first name, Asher, was chosen because of its meaning - blessed. James is included as a nod toward my dad, Josh's pap. Wesley is a family name on Sarah's side. End of April cannot come too quickly for me!

https://www.salk.edu/news-release/the-novel-coronavirus-spike-protein-plays-additional-key-role-in-illness/ After telling us that the "spike protein" of Covid is harmless now they are saying it is harmful. The vaccine is the code that creates this spike in your body. I've also read where two top molecular biologists, a Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi, who said the vaccine will require endless boosters or you will get sick and a Dr. Janci Chunn Lindsay who said the vaccine will cause "immune escape" where our immune system will fail to recognize the virus anymore. Of course, you will be banned if you mention these possibilities. These two doctors are already being labe…

I was just making a post in another area when this thought hit me, that I feel enslaved by technology. I want to disconnect everything but find I cannot for fear of being isolated. does this make sense? People come to our home when we invite them for dinner or lunch and yet it does not seem that anyone just stops by anymore for the sake of friendship. When we do get together with family and friends no one actually has discussions, references are to funny utube videos, or a movie, or some recent sporting game mostly they just sit around looking at their phone, texting one another while the person they are texting is in the room. In the last two years I ha…
