The Roman Church cintinues to be the leader in shedding a bad light on Christianity. I could pour over the history down through the ages but we've heard it all before. What are the doing in the most recent millenium is disturbing enough in just this one sin. The Lord knows what else they might be doing behind closed doors. Last week Linda hollered at me, come and tell me who is helping take up the offering at the 1st Baptist Church. They air thier services on a local TV station during the week and linda had come up on it. I said, "That's our ex-son-in-law." She says, "You mean they would have him doing this?" Now, the reason she asked this question is because after he and our daughter divorced he has fathered a child and is shacked up with this child's mother. Makes me wonder how many other churches out there would allow this, i would say by having him take up the offering means this church approves of this and being a member of this church while living in such a sinful situation.

I forgot our wedding anniversary on Wednesday. (I must admit that I usually do.) My wife said she had reminded me, but if she did, I still forgot. I only realised when a lady at church said she had intended to send us a card, but had forgotten to post it. Oh dear.

Are there any mechanics that live near Golden State or West Coast that would be able to help a friend with his car. He attends college (but I am not sure which one at the moment), and he is having trouble with his car. He and his wife are on a VERY tight budget and could use some help with their car.

A local church has always had a radio broadcast on Sunday mornings. In times past part of the time they would have a singing program or but mostly a special preaching service. About 2 to 3 years back they got a new pastor, since he has been there they broadcast last Sunday's sermon this Sunday. Seldom does it fit their time slot, yet once in a while it will end a bit early, but most of the time the broadcast stops before the sermon ends. What is you thoughts? Is that OK? I feel they're making a big mistake having so many broadcast that ends before the sermon is complete.

What does this mean? Luke 6:29 (King James Version) 29And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.

For the past couple of days I've heard reports on the radio of the growing trend for Baptist, and other churches (they specifically mentioned Baptist), which don't have a history of observing Lent, who are now doing so. They reported many Baptist churches, and others, are now turning their services into liturgical services for the season of Lent. Some even adopt aspects of or celebrate in some manner, Mardi Gras. There are also special parties, including those with a "King's cake", where apparently a baby Jesus is baked into the cake and whoever gets the piece of cake with baby Jesus inside is the one who will host next years party. Great emphasis is placed upon the…

This movie is based on the 2006 Nickel Mines shootings, in which a man went into an Amish school and senselessly murdered five little girls and then killed himself. The Amish community, in stark contrast to "the peaceful religion of Islam," responded by forgiving the man and embracing his surviving family with kindness and love. Absolutely amazing. This was my review on Amazon: In a time when self-love rules the day, this film demonstrates the power of true, Biblical forgiveness. The Bible doesn't teach us that a person has to earn forgiveness, or that they even have to ask for it. We should give forgiveness because Christ forgave us, and that is the primary reason…

My bad cholesterol had been out of limits, I tried taking 2 different cholesterol meds, both of them caused my stomach to hurt very much. After which my doctor asked me to try Red Yeast Rice. I've been taking it for about 45 to 65 days. This time my bad cholesterol was within limits. This is the 1st time its been in limits in a long while. I do not know if the Red Rice Yeast done this, but its the only thing that I have done different. If someone is having bad cholesterol trouble, it might be worth a try. I've been taking one 600 MG capsule every night.

popery Originally popery was a mixture of dried, naturally fragrant plant material, used to provide a gentle natural scent. Modern popery consists of any decoratively shaped dried plant material (not necessarily from scented plants) with strong synthetic perfumes (and also often strongly colored dyes) added, with the scent often bearing no relation to the plant material used. Sometimes, items which do not originate from plants are mixed in with the popery, to give it bulk and to make it more aesthetically pleasing. I think I could come up with at least half a dozen similarities between popery and potpourri...here's a poor one... After some time Popery loses its scent …

I use the 1769 KJB, it fits me and I believe God is honored that I have it settled. I read and study the 1769 version and never refer to the 1611. The only other Bible I have is the 1611 in soft digital copy only. Which KJB do you use for study and reading?

ABC network set to attack Christianity with "Good Christian B-tches" show "For Heaven's sake, don't let God get in the way of a good story!" - GCB author Kim Gatlin March 7, 2011 The ABC network is currently working on a pilot for a prime-time program called "Good Christian B-tches." It's a Christian-bashing version of ABC's current "Desperate Housewives." The show centers on a recently divorced mother of two who moves back to the affluent neighborhood where she grew up to find herself in the whirling midst of gossip, Botox and fraud. Disney-owned ABC has no reservations about creating hate speech against Christians, but you can be sure they would never consider …

OWN or the Oprah Winfry Network will be airing a show I saw advertised on A&E. So, I don't get OWN and will not be watching the 10:00 PM EST presentation of "Our America" with Lisa Ling..."Pray the Gay Away?" I went to OWN website and saw the following posted comment... Any of you out there with an IFB perspective going to be watching this? I would like to hear several IFB comments if possible and even mix in some non-IFBers comments.

Hey did any of you see the article that said Netanyahu had just commended the Pope for declaring that the Jews were in no way responsible for Jesus' death? The article also said that, in his new book, the Pope also "denies the Gospel writers' claim that Jews working in the Temple collaborated with the Roman authorities, leading to Jesus' execution." Ugh. The Pope IS a dope, and he's going to be in big trouble come judgement day. If you want to read the article, it's here: http://www.jpost.com/NationalNews/Article.aspx?id=210696

The tale of three presidents: the Playboy, the Cowboy, and the Wonder Boy Dr. Michael Youssef - Guest Columnist - 3/2/2011 10:20:00 AM Most social scientists would agree that world events do not happen in a vacuum. Political forces, whether they are accidental or deliberate, in succession or a single action, give rise to political and social movements. After the fall of the Shah of Iran, Islamic expansionists began looking for ways and means by which to accomplish their religious dreams. Empowered by "divine mandate" and fueled with lots of oil, they believed the world must be dominated by Islam and the Sharia. Yet, in order to claim victory, they had to overcome the…

Pedophiles are organized and committed to their goals. Here are a few excerpts from one of their prominent webpages...NAMBLA: NAMBLA's goal is to end the extreme oppression of men and boys in mutually consensual relationships by: - building understanding and support for such relationships; - educating the general public on the benevolent nature of man/boy love; - cooperating with lesbian, gay, feminist, and other liberation movements; - supporting the liberation of persons of all ages from sexual prejudice and oppression. NAMBLA homepage. Do you think they will gain acceptance and meet or exceed their goals?

Episcopal Church: Christian? Posted on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 02:28PM Based on everything I am currently reading and what I experienced firsthand in that Church in the past, my answer to this question is a forceful, “No!” Perhaps the last nail in the coffin of that once-vibrant Christian church came as no surprise to many of us when M. Thomas Shaw, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts, kicked off the new year of 2011 by performing a lesbian marriage ceremony at St. Paul’s cathedral in Boston. Two “priestesses” of the church, Katherine Hancock Ragsdale (dean and president of Episcopal Divinity School, no less) and Mally Lloyd (canon to the Ordinary a…
