“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Heb. 4:12) Every time we witness to someone there is a battle going on! There is an unseen conflict between the forces of good and evil, the one pulling one way, and the other, the other way. This warfare can leave one mightily confused; the subject may not know which way to turn, and so he/she does not do anything at all. The tragedy is theirs, but the prOBlem is ours! Our “weapon” in this warfare is the Word of God, used as a sharp t…

The title asks a silly question, and yet, many times we seem to think it can! The hidden question is, "Is it the prayer that saves, or the faith on one's heart?" Too often, well-meaning Christians attempt to lead someone to the Lord and get them to pray, when they may nit have been sincere in their heart. I often like to teach them that "this prayer isn't magic; without faith, it is just a bunch of empty words" I have a friend who quotes Scripture more than I can, and yet, he struggles with the simpler things of life. He has a mental prOBlem, but he still talks of soul winning and "keeping people out of hell", etc., but then he goes constantly asks the same basic qu…

Hi all, I've given away tracts before, and also the gospel of john - and I used to sell stuff online, so I'd put these in with the orders, and they seemed to be effective, and had a couple of customers thank you's. I had more trust of the gospel of John, because tracts don't seem to have enough sometimes, and the whole word of God is useful to witnessing. We've all seen a lot of apostasy in the churches. Particularly, I remember at one church they were going to 'teach witnessing', and what they taught was a lot of rules of men when the bible says not to meditate beforehand, but be led by the Holy Spirit: Luke 21:14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate…

2 Cor 5 Five reasons for telling others about Christ: 1. 2Co 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” --We will stand before God for NOT telling them! --We have a commission (Mt. 28:19,20) 2. 2Co 5:11 “Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.” --Knowing the judgment of God upon them is a valid reason to warn them. 3. 2Co 5:14 “For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for…

“And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.” (Lk. 14:23) “For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:” (2 Cor. 5:14) These two verses have one thing in common--they define the true meaning of “compelling” and “constraining”. So many of my friends, soul winners and good men, have confused the meaning, or at least the application of, the word “compel”. I have been with soul winners who take perhaps the most literal meaning of the word, and use it for advantage, and in so doing, they align themselves with the Calvini…

I've been witnessing for weeks now to the Romans Chapter 1 crowd. They are persistent in refusing the Gospel. Jesus taught us to move on. Key word below being "when." Matthew 10:14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. Paul wrote a book to these folks. Romans 1:18-32 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world ar…

I really like the plan of Salvation ones. I had to take my wife to the ER and I had one tract that covered the plan of Salvation. God put it in my heart to take it with me. I left it in the ER room after they cleaned it so when the next person gets there they will see it.They maybe in a bad way and lost and a family member may see it and get saved and the one who might die. I thought it was a good time to use one where people are down.

Proverbs 15:3 Soul winning ?The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.? The Lord sees all. Because He does, there are some things we must look to in our lives. Below are twelve ?ize? that we need to apply to our lives. (The twelve ?eyes? of soul winning) 1. Visualize - We need to get a vision for the work of the Lord. We must see the need. 2. Mobilize - Then we need to work toward doing something about that vision. 3. Scrutinize - Next, we need to scrutinize ourselves, making sure that we are right with God. 4. Organize - Then we need to plan and prepare for the accomplishing of it. Memorize a soul winning plan. 5. Vocal…

I visited a Baptist church today only to be surprised and disturbed at how they have a female Pastor known as Pastor Nancy. Not only that... found in their church pamphlet reads "Call to Worship", and directly underneath it reads: The earth is at the same time mother, she is mother of all that is natural, mother of all that is human. She is the mother of all, for contained in her are the seeds of all. All creation comes from it. Yet it forms not only the basic raw material for humankind, but also the substance of the Incarnation of God's son. (Hildegard of Bingen, 12th C.) Btw, Hildegard of Bingen is a Catholic Nun. First of all, the earth is not a mot…

Some helpful tips for soul winning: THE TEN COMMANDMENTS OF HUMAN RELATIONS 1. Speak to people. There is nothing as nice as a cheerful word of greeting. 2. Smile at people. It takes seventy-two muscles to frown, and only fourteen to smile. 3. Call people by name. The sweetest music to most men’s ears is the sound of their own name. 4. Be friendly and helpful. If you would have friends, be friendly. 5. Be cordial. Speak and act as if everything you do is genuinely a pleasure; make it a pleasure to do so. 6. Be genuinely interested in people. You can like almost anybody if you try. 7. Be generous with praise—cautious with criticism. 8. Be considerate with t…

I don't know if I should really post this here or not, but if you've been a witness for long, you get some INTERESTING answers. I had to share this one. I was talking to this guy about the Lord and I asked him if he had ever been saved. He assured me he had and shared the following. "One day I was at this chicks house and her old man was not there (you can imagine the rest.) All of the sudden, we hear her old man pull up in the driveway. I jumped out the window and took off across the yard. He saw me, grabbed his gun and started chasing me. He was yelling he was going to kill me. I ran through the country, burst through some brush onto a road top. I saw a car …

Go Ye "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:" (Mt. 29: 19) Without the first two words of our text verse, we have nothing; without "go ye" we have no great commission. "Go ye" then, is essential to every Christian; it is not a suggestion, but a command. Our part is to "go", and the Lord's part is to "do" the actual work. We enter into a holy alliance with the Father when we go. A partnership: We meet God half-way you might say. What a privilege He has bestowed upon us; what trust He has put in us! We work together for the salvation of men, and the glory of God. We become us…

I just got 10,000 copies of the In 100 Years tracts in a larger size. I also put a new design on the front that I posted below. I also included the text for those who may not be familiar with it. If you can use some please send me a pm with an address and how many. We do also still have about 1,000 left of the small business card sized tracts left if you want those instead. God bless. Where will you be? Heaven or Hell. The Bible says "... it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:" (Hebrews 9:27) Are you ready for that day? Would you consider yourself a good person? Good enough for heaven? Have you ever lied, used God's name in vain, or stolen…

Saturday, May 9th 2009 There was a light westerly breeze blowing through the city tonight, which meant it would be cold. So I prepared by putting on some warmer clothes and made sure I had a jacket just in case. I wasn?t feeling overly well tonight, I think it is from all the work I have been doing of late, and also from lack of sleep. But, these are the ?joys? of the ministry. The city wasn?t that busy tonight, maybe the cold was having an effect on those people from Brisbane, since after all this is the sunshine state, and we don?t do cold very well. However, we still made the most of the night and we preached the gospel to all those who would stop and listen. …

This may sound dumb to some, but I'm truly lost on this one. I've been estranged from my parents for over 2 years, and my 3 siblings for varying amounts of time, mainly because I choose to separate myself as best as possible from worldly things and follow Jesus Christ. When I was baptized (immersed in an IFB church) 2 years ago, my parents felt slighted that my "sprinkling" as an infant was not enough. When I tried to explain the differences (gently), I was told I was wrong. Over the past 5 years my relationship with my parents has deteriorated to where we haven't "spoken" for over 2 years now. As I have tried to explain things to them (based on the Bible), I get t…

Saturday, 25th April 2009 Today the nation stopped out of respect for all those men and women who have laid down their lives for the freedom we enjoy in this greatest nation in the World. Since it was ANZAC day, I thought it would be good to preach on an ANZAC related text. However, we tried something new tonight, for the first time we decided to have Andre sing and Joel to play guitar. They sung the song ?The End of the Beginning? which is basically a gospel message in song. I must admit I was very sceptical about it. I didn?t believe that singing would work in Brisbane city. But I was glad to be proven wrong. As Andre sung and Joel played a crowd began to gather. …

I thought this was pretty interesting Below the video I have posted the newsletter where I seen the video [tube]7JHS8adO3hM[/tube] There are just so many interesting points to his video. Did you catch that the guy who witnessed to him wasn?t at the show that night? That means he went home after a show, and was burdened for Penn?s soul. He got a Gideon?s Bible and wrote some information in it, and returned to the theatre another time to talk with Penn. That spoke volumes to this lost person. It showed that this man cared. You have to remember that Penn is not just some atheist. He continually dogs out God, Jesus, the Bible, etc. in his routines. I read that he has a l…

Saturday, 11th April 2009 - Brisbane The Easter weekend was here, it is that time of the year when the churches all fill up on the Friday and Sunday, but then remain empty until Christmas. It is that special season when people all serve God with their lips, but in reality their hearts are far from Him. Yet, into this religious season we find ourselves being the busiest in comparison to any other season. It has been drizzling rain all day so I expected a slower night in the city. For a city that is still officially in drought it is amazing how much rain we have been getting over the past few days and weeks. While some ministries refuse to work during the rain we have…

Saturday, 4th April 2009 The first outreach of the month, I am constantly amazed at how quick the year has gone. And, as I look back over the past few months I cannot help but stop and stand in amazement at how good God is, and how much He has blessed us as a ministry. Tonight was no different, God once again showed us how awesome He is and how He is the Sovereign One when it comes to the salvation of souls. From the start of the night things went really well. While Rodney and I were setting up the Bible table these two Islanders stopped and asked if they could have a Bible. So I struck up a conversation with them. Both of them professed to be Christian, so I ask…
