Something to think about…

Pastors who use Malachi 3:8-10 want to make you feel like a “God rOBber” because you fail to tithe your money to the Church you attend.

When they preach on Abram, do they tell you he was a “God rOBber” too? If not, perhaps they should.

After all, Abram tithed the spoils of war to Melchizedek (Genesis 14:20) but did not tithe his own money (Genesis 13:2) If not tithing one’s money means one is a “God-rOBber”, then surely Abram was also a “God-rOBber” by that definition. Likewise, the Israelites were "God rOBber's" since they also were guilty of not tithing their money.

Why is it wrong for us today to not tithe our money, but perfectly acceptable for Abram to not tithe his? or for the Israelites to not tithe theirs?

Tribute was not tithes.

As the passage in Luke's Gospel reveals, tribute was money owed to the government.

Tithes, as revealed by several passages in the Old Testament, was food and livestock in national Israel

  Well, I originally wanted to call the message "Be a Liberal" considering those who might get triggered by the word because of the elections but that would have been too much like click-bait... The word is used a lot in non-political connotations ie. Add the spice liberally to the sauce, etc. So it's a good word on its own. Also, political "Liberals" do know how to uses this Biblical law to their advantage, so we ought to as well. Being a liberal in itself is not bad but only when it is to d

  Yet, the HOLY SPIRIT knowing all things chose to use these words. Either you believe the Word of God to be pure or you don't Eddie. I'm not concerned with what connotation the world puts on the words, I am more concerned with what God thinks. You seem to be happy being a contrarian.

  Words that are mention for good today, like liberal have been twisted. The same with the word Gay. Example: EpJer.1 [8] And taking gold, as it were for a virgin that loveth to go gay, they make crowns for the heads of their gods.   The Bible tells us if any of us are short of wisdom to ask God who gives it to all men LIBERALLY and upbraideth not. Guess the Holy Spirit didn't seem to find anything wrong with the word. It's really not up to us to like or dislike what the Bible says.

  This is a good message, but I’m not sure why the word (liberal) was used Could it have been preach without it? I personally don’t think it’s a great word anymore. But I’ll watch the YouTube and see how he uses it. Liberal, is used for many ungodly things these days. I’m wrongfully judging, maybe. I will watch the video now.

  Read what was written again...carefully. We don't celebrate the day. We celebrate ON that day. Also, the scripture is clear when that Resurrection occurred. Hence our joyful celebration ON that day. If you wish to celebrate ON another day, you certain can but its a special time because its the time when it happened.   re: "While the context and historical Christian tradition clearly shows this word to be reference to the celebration of Christ's resurrection on the Sunday Morning..." Seems curious, though, that scripture is silent with regard to anyone celebrating the first day of the week in honor of the resurrection.
