Got a link to any evidence of this list of side effects? I've heard a lot of this stuff before, but would like more than just one person's statement. Not saying anyone is giving misinformation, but would like more tangible proof of the same.

I no longer recommend his materials...I refer people to others in the field who have sterling Christian reputations.

I know of very few churches who teach the things you're saying are being taught....either in the IFB churches or the SBC churches I've attended. You've yet to give a breakdown/timeline for the things you say pertain to the rapture. Now you're introducing ideology on other things. Deflection isn't a good thing.

Question...if it "could not be clearer", then how come it isn't so clear to us who have studied this for years? I think you might be able to argue these points on the BaptistBoard.com....just a suggestion.

Yes...he has a problem with that...somehow, somewhere, Kent got off onto the wrong set of tracks. His father would roll over in his grave if he knew how Kent turned out. I know I wasn't quite as surprised as I would have been had I not personally known him. He's not a close friend or associate, nor was he ever. I just knew him in passing. I haven't seen him or talked to him in years. I do pray for him. I'd like to see him actually serving the Lord instead of himself.

Do you not realize when these things are actually supposed to occur??? I believe you're apply the verses for one event to another. What is your timeline on these events? Scripture with Scripture...what is the breakdown?

Steve Anderson? The Steve Anderson that has been arrested by border patrol for illegal and crazy antics? The one who founded his own sect of IFB? Sorry, but I've had interactions with him over several years on the old Fighting Fundamentalist Forums which used to be owned by Don Elbourne, and I have to say that's one off the wall dude! Now to Kent Hovind. Hovind grew up in the same towns/area I did. His father had Hovind Realty in Morton, IL. Kent used to be the pastor of the Bethel Baptist Church in Pekin, IL, where one of my ex-fiance's family attended for many years. Lloyd Bradshaw was the pastor then. but Hovind came soon after. He's been riddled with scandals for as long as I can remember. I'm sorry, but I have to say that if these people are the one's you're looking to, you're in a pretty serious fix. I'm not saying that everything they have taught or preached is wrong, but I am saying that they aren't the kind of people I would be following, and I don't. I've met Hovind several times, and I have no desire to promote him...nor do I intend to promote Anderson. There are far better Christian examples around to associate with.

Well then, you need to be comparing the whole of the subject's verses...Scripture to Scripture, not just those two verses...I cheard an evangelist back in the early 1970s say that there was a man who was trying to get direction from God on verses concerning a subject and he came to the first verse....And Judas went out and hanged himself...the second verse he found as direction said "Go thou and do likewise!" Compare the whole of the scriptures on the subject, not just the two or three you've been using. You're way off base and doing yourself more harm than good.

You are trying to build a doctrine on two verses that aren't even involved in your timing of the events mentioned. You truly should get a book on rightly dividing the Word of God...a book on Hermeneutics/Exegesis. It will help you greatly in how to understand and correctly interpret the Bible. I'm sure that several of the pastors here could recommend one on a starter level.

The Rapture is supposed to come as a "thief in the night" is it not? No moon turning to blood, no stars falling to earth. You're going to have to do a better job of presenting it than this to convince some of us YOUR interpretation is correct. I've taken Eschatology, and I have to tell you, you're nowhere near lining up with what is taught in Scripture.

I don't believe you're properly interpreting that verse. That is talking about the very end....not the rapture. This is one reason I had started a thread a while back about pastors and laypeople mixing the two events up and misinterpreting scriptures concerning each event.

Jerry, I see nothing wrong with you starting a study on this subject. You are correct, it IS a very interesting subject and one that Christians need to be aware of. I think we can all afford to learn together here. ? Continue on, Brother!

Yep...many of the professors from MBBC became part of the staff there...Ray Fulayter, John Kerr, the Hollowoods...All great people...I think my former Dorm leader, Joel Spencer was there as well. My wife and I almost moved there in the early 90s.

I've heard of it, and had a second cousin who thought about going there. They told me that there's no Greek or Hebrew studies, and that they thought the college was a little bit less of a college than colleges like Trinity in Jacksonville FL, Maranatha in Watertown, WI and Crown in Powell TN. I haven't had much interaction with them. The registrar at the college could and probably would give you the information you're seeking.

This past Sunday morning I lost my balance and had a nice spill onto the ground outside while taking the puppy out for his potty break. A huge headache was present and my balance got worse throughout the day. Needless to say, I didn't get to go to church and was in bed a lot of the day. When I got up I noticed that I couldn't fully use my left side. But, after about 1/2 an hour it somewhat subsided. The doctor told me that he believed it was possible that I had experienced a TIA...and possibly a slight stroke. I'm still numb on the left side and still have a slight headache. I would appreciate your prayers. The doctor told me if I start to experience this again to get to the local ER down the road about 20 miles. I'll take that advice and not wait the next experience. Thanks in advance.

Jethro, the father-in-law of Moses. He advised Moses to divide up his work with others helping. This would prove to help alleviate some of the challenges that Moses was facing in his leadership of the Israelites. This allowed Moses to more efficiently lead the people without many of the lower level challenges hitting him over the head every day. Exodus 18 tells about this.
