It's true that they can't control all of their speakers. But, I also know that I don't agree with all fo this point of view. Partial truth is still a lie.

I know many Calvinists who are great soulwinners. They firmly believe that God alone knows who will and who won't be saved, and that it's their job to preach/present the Gospel to everyone. I don't believe I know but a handful of Calvinists who don't witness actively.

She had her first PT treatment today...we had to drive all the way from our home into Nashville (50+ miles away) for that. She did pretty well. She's sore, but, I believe she'll recover. She's got to go back tomorrow. Hopefully she'll be able to go to work for a few hours, then to therapy and then back to work. We're keeping track of the miles so her employer will reimburse us for the gas. Had to fill up the tank on the way home...at half a tank the gas cost us over $48.00. We got that at Walmart (Murphy Oil). If we'd have gotten it at Kroger, it would have been over $60.00. I believe that her employer will take care of her. She's always there and stays late, is in early, etc. Besides, we know we have little control over what is going on, how much things cost, etc., and that God will supply all our needs. Thank you for the prayers.

My wife suffered a fall yesterday after clocking in for work. She fell and hurt her back and right shoulder. She didn't tell me yesterday morning when she called, but waited until last night. She was in a lot of pain last night and only got about 1 1/2 hours sleep. She did go to work this morning, as they want her to go and see the company physician to see if there is any damage....of course...we ALL know whose side the company doctor is going to be on. We have little to no faith in them, and we already have our doctor ready to assess the possible damage. Please pray for my wife and her back and shoulder. Being a lead, and working in an "at will" state, this puts her in a very bad situation. We know God is in ultimate control...pray we will keep our focus on him through all of this. There's a lot more riding on it than we care to admit. Thanks in advance.

I don't know what Grace Presbyterian in Peoria, IL was, but when I was in high school at Peoria Christian School, it was pastored by a Baptist. He was there for many years, and I attended there when I had to work in Peoria on Sundays at Mr. Steak. I know their lessons weren't "dictated" by the denomination.

Jerry, I totally understood that statement. I was raised the first 8 years of my life in an 'old time" separatist Methodist (Free, now) church in Bloomington, IN. They were "disfellowshipped" by the Methodists in town, and believed more like Baptists than Methodists. Guess that was why it was so easy for my mother to become an Independent Baptist when I was 9.

Do you have proof of your many assertions here? DOCUMENTED proof? I hate when people just throw out junk like this with no actual links to PROOF....I totally believe that Mr. KGB (Putin) wants to bring back the glory of the USSR. He may be a demogogue, but why would he go and birng himself into a position of "President for Life" if he didn't believe he could dictate a New USSR into being. It's clear that he won't stop at just Ukraine. Putin's a deceiver...a chameleon. He presents as one thing while he's really another.

Just wanted to make this statement about E Morales's post here....EVERYONE who is truly saved is saved by faith through God's grace and not because of works....not just the Baptists. Some people really hold an incorrect view of salvation and theology. This isn't a slam on Morales, because I believe that he already knows this. But, in posting on other sites, I find this to be the case...especially lately.

You're right, they do. The problem is that they count "faith" as a work that can only come after God imputes his righteousness upon them.

You may be an evangelist, but, we ALL who are in Christ are teachers. We set examples for others....teaching in effect. Don't ever say "I'm just" anything. God gives all of us a job to do, and we should never belittle that job/position in him. You have my prayers as you give the Word of God.

The last time I PREACHED a series on the Ten Commandments was in August of 2006. The last time I taught a series on them was just last year. Fasting was late last year...Morales, do you preach or teach? When was the last time YOU taught on any of these?

Many of the Free Methodists i know can say this...as can some of the Weslyans I know. I even have some CoG friends and relatives who are teachers and preacher in that denomination, and their church teaches saved by grace through faith in Christ alone. It's not common, but there are a few out there that do seem to hold to Baptist doctrine more closely than their own denomination.

Well, we knew he wouldn't last long. Ideally, a person would have a human heart implanted. But, I feel it was medically prudent to give a dying inmate a pig heart to see if it would suffice short term...experimentation is part of the responsibility of the medical community.

Why would anyone ask this question? I mean, SERIOUSLY....we hold to the Bible as our final authority. If we don't, then there's not really any use to preach any of the rest of the Bible, is there?

Apparently there are SOME people who believe them, or this wouldn't have been reported. I believe many Christians have finally opened their eyes, but, that's not much comfort when people are following the way of the world and the anti-Christ.
