  1. I can be very humble. But, I can also be very direct when pointing out error and sensationalized or poorly directed material. So, where have I tried to change the subject? To be honest Eddie, you really need to be more clear about your subject matter. When most IFB Christians think of Christ's "return," they're thinking of the rapture. Remember, Eddie, dispensationalists divide his coming into two phases. You should know this with you allegedly being an evangelist.
  2. This is talking about the Second Coming of Christ to set up His Kingdom. It leaves the Rapture of the church out. I have listened to several under the heading you said to listen to, and they ALL seem to be coming from the Jewish perspective. They are also flying in the face of Scripture where it says of the day or the hour knows no man. Only GOD knows when these things will happen. So, let me see... YOU'RE not a sinner? There was no need for me to "learn" anything as I have studied, preached, and taught on these things for forty plus years. It seems the only one confused would be TGL. Pointing out error when it comes to Scripture isn't attacking. You've got an awfully thin skin for an evangelist. Sad. Maybe one of the full-time pastors could give a timeline. I've got one, but don't know if it will post. . l
  3. In other words, you're bloviating again. Thanks. That's all I needed to know.
  4. Could you please post where someone has stated that Christ would come back in 2030? I've seen a lot of questions, but I've not seen where anyone has specifically stated this. Thanks.
  5. My father was rushed to the VA hospital in Louisville, Kentucky last night and immediately put in their hospice unit. His emphysema and COPD has progressed to the end stages. I tried to contact him over the past 3 days because he didn't sound good last week. But, he didn't answer his phone. He couldn't. He was in and out of consciousness. My stepmom, who has Sundowner's and is rapidly going into full blown Alzheimer's, was there, but she didn't understand what was going on. Last night Dad tried to get up and immediately fainted and fell to the ground hitting his head. My stepmom called an ambulance, though she doesn't remember doing so. They took him directly to the VA hospital. My niece works there and was called me from her office to talk to him to get him settled down. She made a post on Facebook about grieving for someone who is still alive. That's how I found out. This morning I texted my brother to see if he had heard anything. He hadn't. So he called the VA and got just a small bit of information. It snowballed from there. I've been on the phone nearly 12 hours. I finally got to talk to my father and he sounded weak, the weakest I have ever heard him. He said he was tired and ready to give up. The saddest part for me is that he still hasn't accepted the Lord. My stepmom has her sister, my Aunt Violet staying with her several hours a day with my two nieces taking a shift. But it's clear she needs to be in a nursing home where she can get specialized care. I'm heartbroken over these developments, especially since I am not monetarily or physically able to be of much assistance. Please pray for their salvation and health. Thank you. BT
  6. If people would properly vet their pastors and strenuously pray and seek God's face in their decisions there would be far less of this kind of thing. Many churches who are without pastors, and those that have had interims for extended periods of time and are in too big of a hurry to fill the position of pastor with a warm body, if they're a good speaker or appealing to people.
  7. Andy Stanley, son of the late Pastor and former president of the Southern Baptist Convention, Charles Stanley, and the pastor of an SBC affiliated church in Atlanta, has once again found himself in a controversy over the miracles in the Bible, claiming that Christians only need to believe in two of them as factual. To be honest, I don't know how Christians can continue to follow pastors that try try their best to destroy faith in God's Word. https://www.christianpost.com/news/andy-stanley-christians-only-have-to-believe-in-two-miracles.html
  8. An acquaintance of mine, Jeri Masi, a graduate of BJU, and a writer has investigated and reported on the sexual abuse scandals within the IFB and SBC churches. This has been an ongoing problem for many years and will continue to be so as long as churches allow their pastors to have Godlike unchecked power, and as long as church leaders fail to report such incidences and push the problem off on other, unsuspecting churches. I can always point back to the late pastor of First Baptist Church in Hammond and many of the pastors who have come from HAC. Many of it's graduates have been arrested and convicted of sexual abuse. And it's not just relegated to them. Churches need to rigorously vet those pastors they employ. And I know it's not a popular stance among IFB churches, but a plurality of elders would assist in controlling and eliminating these issues.
  9. Several Republican controlled states allow limited abortion access. ALL Democrat controlled states will continue to support abortions until the Christians step up and start speaking the Gospel to everyone. Saved people will be led to the realization that life begins at conception and will help to get the laws changed.
  10. That's where the decision Constitutionally belongs. It should have NEVER been allowed to go to the Federal level in the first place, making it a federally funded position. Taxpayer funded abortion was a poor decision on the part of the SCOTUS.
  11. I've NEVER met an evangelist who seems to be as ill equipped as the poster I am conversing with. The Gospel is indeed first and foremost our mission, but it should not be to the detriment of other Biblical teachings. It's a poor excuse for not knowing ones Bible.
  12. Being an evangelist has a LOT to do with it when they should know the book they're preaching from. It's pretty clear that you are lacking. And yes, I DO make some incredible spaghetti and meatballs. Feel free to stop by if you're ever in our area.
  13. The Bible is clear...why are you consistently trying to muddy the water when it comes to issues in Scripture? It's NOT a transgender, Eddie. The woman mentioned is the nation of Israel. You claim to be an evangelist yet seem to have very little understanding when it comes to many Scriptural teachings. Sad... very sad.
  14. Have you read your Bible? The Bible tells us about the antichrist... It gives the number of his name...666..says HE will make a pact with Israel...We also know that women HAVE led nations...Golda Meir (so) for Israel; Margaret Thatcher for the UK, along with Teresa May; Indira Gandhi for India; Sri Lanka, Argentina, Bolivia, et Al, have had female heads of state. But none are ever foretold to be a world leader, though Angela Merkel seemed to come mighty close.
  15. Vivian made a big pot of chicken and dumplings last night, so that's the fare for tonight, and probably tomorrow night. Three days of it is just about right. Delicious!!! A cherry pineapple Popsicle for dessert!
  16. Praying for you both.
  17. We always vote early and IN PERSON. We would never vote by mail unless we just had to. We nearly had to when we had moved to Minnesota. I'm so thankful we didn't.
  18. Wow...so you'll buy a Bible from our secularist/atheistic society that hates Christians and Christianity to the core and who are trying to force their values on the world? How incredibly naive of you....for the love of money many countries and people of the world sell out. You don't really know who has and hasn't. Oh, by the way Eddie, people can come to know the Lord through the Bible bearing Trumps name, as they do when they get saved using an Old Schofield or Thompson Chain Reference Bible.
  19. WOW! Looks like Will Smith's movie, "I, Robot" is coming to a pulpit near you; LOL
  20. We're talking about where they originated. They're currently known as the Trump Bible. So again, you're ignoring the fact that they were being printed before Trump got involved with them. Trump joined it in early 2024....you really need to be factual about the whole thing instead of being like the MARXISTS and MSM and cherry picking news reports.
  21. And assumptions from you on Bibles that were already known for being printed by Lee Greenwood. Grow up, Eddie.
  22. Who are you inferring is blind. You continue to make accusations against Trump and against people here. That's just wrong Eddie.
