  1. Don't think so. He's from this area, and many people have seen his lies and hypocrisy. And what's the idea of reviving a thread that's been dead for more than a year? Don't have any new "the sky is falling" threads? LOL
  2. I've found that there are many people moving into the mindset you described. My wife and I have lost friends over this same issue. These people seem to elevate animals to human, and even godlike status. They don't like the fact that WE worship the Lord God and do our best to protect pets and wildlife second.
  3. I have worked for Bojangles twice, both times in Martinez Georgia. I was the biscuit maker, but also worked everywhere else in the store. I worked for KFC in Pekin, Illinois, and my wife and I both worked for a convenience store in Augusta Georgia that did Chester Fried chicken.
  4. I would prefer Bojangles over KFC. Even Chester Fried would be better. Don't think I would care for Popeye's either.
  5. SMH... anytime it's serious you crack a joke. Do you see now why people don't take you seriously?
  6. I've stopped listening to "on lies" since many of them aren't honest when they go bashing other translations. If they can do it honestly then I am all for the defense of the KJV.
  7. Oh, good grief... enough of the negativity, Eddie. You've got an awfully low opinion of people. Sad.
  8. My brother in law is Jewish and only has one child. His parents only had two. I know very few Jewish families that are large.
  9. Only if you want false converts or brainwashed drones.
  10. I forgot to add, Eddie, that this attitude is a cop out to support your lax and negative views. Sad.
  11. You're being overly contrarian and continue to look only on the negative, seemingly overlooking the fact that WE are not responsible for THEIR actions. Your hypotheticals are continually popping up just to attempt to make your negative views on everything relevant. We can only vote for the one who most closely reflects our beliefs as Christians, pray for our leaders as commanded in scripture, and continue to share the gospel with others, sharing our faith. You can't do that with the negativity that you are showing.
  12. True,. But he's given us the opportunity, privilege, and RESPONSIBILITY to participate in this process. Those who don't have no place in complaining about what our government is doing. Remember the story the Lord told about the talents being given to his three servants with one receiving ten talents, the second five talents, and the last one just one talent? The first two used their responsibilities to grow their stake. The third buried his, not using it at all, and therefore misused his opportunity. Your postings/remarks here sound identical to the one who squandered his opportunity. Do as you wish, but, I am going to use the opportunities that the Lord gives me.
  13. If for you it's "come to an end," that's between you and God. Don't be complaining about the government if you don't participate with your vote...and not voting isn't doing anything but cancelling out a vote and allowing the greater of the two "evils" to come to power. Sad.
  14. How can people NOT VOTE, period? We're NOT voting for a pastor, someone to be our spiritual guide, we're voting for the president of the country. We're ALWAYS going to have a certain level of distrust in politicians. Yet, if we're only given the choice of one or the other we have to choose the one we believe will be closest to our beliefs. Don't you think you've beat this dead horse long enough?
  15. Eddie, this has been the case since the beginning of time. Some people make wiser choices than others and succeed while certain others, deceitful, devilish men succeed by use of subterfuge and power grabbing. The Bible is full of examples both righteous and unrighteous. Most understand what is going on but feel helpless to effect change and give up the fight. And if you look, Eddie, the population IS panicking in one way or another. Regarding the stock markets, the wealthy elite, banks, and large corporations control what is happening. Even with the blue collar workers buying in, once again, they feel helpless to effect change, not realizing the power they truly have if they would band together.
  16. You're misapplying a verse. You really could benefit from a hermeneutics course. That's not at all what that is referring to. We've been given an electoral system where two parties are in place as our choices. You're trying to tell that you're not going to vote for either of them? The "lesser of two evils" is a pretty poor choice of words, but it is the current lingo. Yes, all are sinners, yet God uses sinners every day to accomplish his will. The only difference is that one group are saved individuals while the rest aren't.
  17. Why is it you lean to seeing the negative in everything? Regardless of the evil, if we're following Christ and his leading, his plan will still prevail. You truly need to give the Lord more credit and respect.
  18. Had many people who listened to Morris or watched him on television broadcasts, been aware of all of this, I wonder how many would have continued to do so. I know that personally, I have listened to and watched his briadcasts and gleaned from his preaching, and have had many friends saved under his ministry.. I hate that he has done this thing, and believe that even with his previous restoration process, which I wholeheartedly disagree with, believe that he should NEVER have been allowed to re-enter the ministry, The "elders" who acted in the capacity of restoring him should be ashamed of themselves, allowing a pedophile to be Christ's representative in a pastoral capacity. I feel so sorry for the woman he molested. I truly pray that this is a step in recovery for her, even 40+ years later. She's in our prayers. Mr. Morris is in our prayers as well. His decision those many years ago to commit this reprehensible act has surfaced and ruined his ministry and brought yet another blot on the ministry and the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I pray his exit from the ministry is permanent this time. I'm not sure if he will receive any jail time for this, but I believe he should, as he still, in his statements refers to the then child as just a "young lady," showing still an attempt to somewhat minimize the situation.
  19. Do YOU vote, Eddie? If you do, do YOU vote for one of the choices of candidates, or do you write in a name of a Christian who isn't running, has no chance of winning, wasting the vote you DO HAVE? Voting is a God given privilege to we as Americans, most often with several choices on the ballot for each office. We have to vote for the ones who are closest to the Bible if possible, but not necessarily a Christian. You state the Bible calls Satan as the God of this world, and rightly so. But, we DO NOT serve the adversary as the children of God, the creator of all things, including Lucifer. God is still working things according to His good pleasure, and has promised defeat of said adversary. God is still in control. Vote, don't vote, that's between you and God.
  20. With Hezbollah attacking in the North Israel were obliged to give a response. They attacked an Iranian embassy for that reason. I have nieces who are spouting the anti Semetic rhetoric and protesting in Dallas ( her husband works for the Arab/Islamic causes in this country)and Indiana. Israel didn't ask for the October 7 attacks, and if you listen to the calls of both Hamas and Hezbollah, from the River to the Sea, you'll know just how serious these people are about wiping Israel off the face of the Earth. I'll support Israel over Islamists. I know you don't support Islam. And, as you stated, this is war. Civilians on both sides have been killed, as they are in every war. Do the attacks on 10/7 justify civilian casualties? Of course not. But it's not going to change the fact that Hamas is using human shields and civilian deaths are going to be inevitable in attacks on Hamas.
  21. When I was away from the Lord in the late 80s and early 90s, Dr. Evans was one of three preachers that I would listen to daily. I have great respect and love for him and the ministries he's started and allowed the Lord to work through him in. I have many friends who came to know the Lord through his radio ministry. I'm praying for him and his new wife, and his family as they work to bring Dr Evans back into good standing.
  22. Again with the wide brush and sentiments against mega churches. Eddie, how many mega churches have you PERSONALLY been an active member of? I have been an active member of three, and all three are still in play and serving the Lord. And to be frank, not a one of them has produced a female pastor. Both you and @Dom Jr. seem to have very negative feelings towards churches. The Lord has told us that HE has founded his church and will build it through us and that the gates of hell will not prevail against it. We also see that in Revelation the seven churches were reprimanded for their worldliness but weren't told to shutter their doors! They were told to repent or face discipline from the Lord. Either the Lord is right or he's a liar. It seems from many of your posts that you believe the latter, and that is sad. We should let the Holy Spirit do his job and convince, convict, and confirm whether these churches are worthy of dissolution. Dom has a very warped eschatological view and seems to be in need of some firm, factual hermeneutics. I find very little of what he's stated as being backed by Scripture.
  23. Over the years they have become very commercialized, but they weren't originally so. Advertizers see $$$ and don't really care about the original meaning, much to their shame.
  24. I don't believe @Napsterdad or I support women pastors. What Christians are blinded by their surroundings!?! We all know there are those who claim to follow Christ but only do so in part, picking and choosing what they want to follow. If Christians are in the Word and are true, faithful followers, it's doubtful that they will be willing to jump ship for unbiblical practices.
  25. It's a matter of true conversion, discipleship, and faithfulness to the Word of God and the Lord. You always seem to see the bad side, seem to doubt that the Lord will have faithful Christians. That's what is sad, and it one of the many reasons that some will fall by the wayside. Either God is telling the truth when he says "on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it," or he's not.
