  1. Those powerlines must of have been a challenge. So close
  2. I found the secret to why men cook better than women. Using the same ingredients, the ladies will cook the very same thing in less time. So if I am making chilly, it takes me just over an hour. My wife will make it in 25 minutes. Mine is slowly cooking and absorbing all the seasoning. In conclusion, the the time that is being used makes all the difference.?
  3. That roof is looking very nice. I imagine they just went over the old shingles. ?
  4. I'll like to see a photo of the new roof. Is it metal
  5. I can see you are making some nice upgrades to the page. Keep up the good work.
  6. There are some preacher-armed. They will protect their flock if they have to. During prayer, there’s always someone with their eyes wide open.
  7. That's pretty though, but does happens. I believe a pastor can work and preach. Many get paid full-time but only work part-time. Or just a few days in the week. If the members support this? That is just fine. There is fraud going on in some churches, that between them and God. Like not paying taxes, like we all should be paying, when not as a church issue. Like paying the pastor mortgage and not reporting it like an income. We can fool man,but we can't fool God.
  8. The local church has been always known for changing families and lives, for the better by seeking Christ, the living God. Today we can see many changes in the local church, but the roles are changing the people are changing the local church. when I was a younger man, I had never seen a church use its property to attract people as they are today. Yesterday, I drove by a church that had a huge carnival going on their property. I have never seen this in the past being done by a local church, to attract people. The role of the church has changed very much where the church once change the person through their ministries. Worldly pressures have gotten into the local church. This is happening in the larger churches. The smaller churches, seem to be doing much better on the way the church should be managed. Don't let your church become a local business attraction. What can we do to attract the community without all the worldly stuff, The good old fashion way? Reaching out with the good news.
  9. Somebody stole the offering plates, but this will not keep us from taking the offering…?
  10. You’re confusing me, with these command DR. What the differences, if was a command or a request. He still the boss.
  11. Thank you for sharing this information. Truth is, I never heard of this position pastor. (congregational care pastor).
  12. Jim, can you please remove the GiF, posted on the bottom, of my post topic page. Thanks TGL E.Morales
  13. I agree, we need to know their stance. 1. Christ Community Church. Liberal (Wrong) 2. Christ Community Baptist Church. Conservative (Correct) You can add Independent, for respect, for those that are visiting to know. I never seen a Baptist church post, King James Bible preferred on their Church Sign. I believe this would be nice to have, but not a must. In my opinion
  14. Pray that your appointments go well, technology have improved in these 2 areas you mentioned.
  15. I would love to see the size of those speakers. He could’ve borrowed them from the Muslims, when they minister on their loud speakers. I don’t know the pastor, but he needs to follow the local government rules. This is where shape up or ship out plays. ?
  16. You’ll be able to see the freckles on peoples faces, with that big screen. ? Enjoy
  17. Keep the mother-in-law away, my friend. ?
  18. My first flat screen television 40” which was huge then, at the time cost me over $1000 dollars. Now at Walmart, they’re over 60” wide around $500. They have come to be throw away tv, after they break down, you just throw away, and buy a new one. They are so cheap. How wide is your flat screen tv? I don’t believe in televisions… ?
  19. Who really wants a flamethrower? I’ll take a boatload of watermelon ?
  20. Carry on my friends
  21. As the world keep dressing down, and as time change, to look more the norm. Do people still dress to impress, I see pastors wearing nice jackets, over a dark T-shirt. Amazing, women’s are wearing pants more than ever before. You have to tell your teenage son, to ask his girlfriend has she ever worn a dress before? This might sound like a joke to some, but it is happening. Sadly. They are good people, but what is going on.
  22. I took this picture today. Bird on tree.? Made by the Lord of Creation.
  23. Dr. dictionary, you seem to be a very smart cookie ? but not everyone here, love chocolate chips. Remember you are looking and studying the Bible, as a liberal. There are many good liberals out there, that are nice people. I believe you are one. You are just trying to hard, to blend in here. It took me as a conservative, 2 years, to blend in here. Almost had my head chop off, many warnings. Why do I stay here? When I am gone, there will be still many people reading the crazy stuff, that I post here, for growth. This is why I call you, Dr. dictionary. The professional theologian. ?
  24. It can toast 500 marshmallows at one time, cool. ??
  25. What do you think about Baptist churches, that are now trying to please everyone. Example: traditional service, 10 AM Hymns, Older folks, 1 AM service contemporary, light on drums. Younger folks worshiping. Middle-age. 3 pm service hard rock, night ? owls getting up, heavy metal worshiping. Teen worship. The new Baptist mega church. Old traditional Baptist churches, seem like they are not having this problems or changes. I don’t agree or like mega churches, and I don’t like this way of worshiping, with all these division. should these modern changes be excepted in the Baptist church?
