  2. Hello, Welcome to OB. God’s Sovereignty and Authority. God is the Creator of all things, and as such, He has sovereign authority over His creation. Just as a potter has the right to shape clay as he pleases, God, as the Creator, has the right to establish how His creation should live and relate to Him. Obeying and believing in God is a natural response to recognizing His rightful authority over our lives. God also loves us and wants a relationship with us. Isaiah 45:9-12 (KJV) 9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Obeying and believing in God aren’t just about making Him happy in a shallow way. It’s about living the way we were meant to, in sync with the One who made us. When we follow and trust God, we can fully experience the kind of relationship He wants to have with us.

  3. Not to go too deep into this, but I've been a NIFB for a long time now. But slowly God has been showing me how much pure hatred and anger this sect is. Granted, in my flesh, I loved it. I loved being RIGHT and angry and even "Godly Hateful". That screaming bold preaching made my flesh feel so good. But it made my soul and heart lose sight of Christ and his love and mercy. Anyways. I'm stubborn, but im willing to learn. There are 3 doctrines the NIFB held, which i still do, but 95% of IFB do not. So please send me any links, videos etc. Because I need to UNbrainwash myself from a decade of possibly wrong teachings. Which are: 1. Dispensationalism. After watching the documentary " Dispensation of Heresy ", i just can't accept this IFB doctrine. Replacement theology is what I've always known. But i want to learn from people outside of the NIFB on this topic. 2. Pretrib Rapture: to be honest, I haven't looked too much into this outside of the NIFB documentary " after the tribulation ". This one.I'm not fully sold on or against. 3.Reprobates: it is heavily taught that homosexuals can't be saved. And even that our government should be killing them off according to Scripture. Or they should end their own lives.. This has caused nothing but pure hatred from me as well towards this group. But now I'm starting to think the reprobate doctrine maybe wrong.. As in, I don't see why a homosexual couldn't be saved. I'm starting to see that, the sin is evil, but Christ can save even them if he saved someone like me. These are just 3 BIG topics that I'm.finally willing to learn about, and to put away my NIFB biases. Pray for me, and all of the NIFB movement. It really is a religion of hate and can really suck you in.

  4. There are so many inspiring figures in the Bible, from Moses to Esther to Paul. Other than Jesus, who do you find most inspiring, and how do their stories influence your walk with Christ? Mine is Moses: Moses inspires me because, despite his humble beginnings and initial reluctance, he became a powerful leader who faithfully followed God's call and maintained a deep, personal relationship with Him.

  5. There are two “types” of homosexuals in the Scriptures: 1. Those who are lost and give into that sin, like any other sin. Heartstrings showed the passage that showed they can be forgiven if they turn to Christ and repent of their sins (1 Corinthians 6:9-11), including that one. 2. Those who reject God because of a love for their sins and a suppression of the truth/the true God, and then are given over to a reprobate mind, as Romans 1 teaches. Those kind are blinded by their sin and as a judgement by God. I do not believe those people can be saved, as they are what we would typically state are apostate (ie. knowing the truth then rejecting it). While they cannot be saved, we generally** really do not know who fits that view - because the actions of a rebellious lost homosexual would seem the same as an apostate homosexual from outward appearances - so we need to get the Gospel to both groups. **Maybe I am wrong here, but I think someone who goes further than most and gets a sex change would fit the apostate category. I personally think that is taking a moral and spiritual step that they cannot come back from. What does NIFB stand for?

  6. We vote based on the one who is closest to following the Constitution - which is the law God helped our founders set as Rex (king) of our country. As Roger Williams said way before we had a Constitution or were even an independent country, IF we have a guide it actually doesn't matter the religious practices of those for whom we vote. Why? Because citizens should hold those feet to the fire and MAKE them obey the Constitution. Sadly, however, the majority of citizenry has never even read the Constitution or any other founding documents, so they have no idea how our REX LEX is supposed to bind our public servants. God gave us this country. Even with all its warts, I believe it's the best place on Earth. We disrespect that gift God gave us by not participating in the set-up that our founders gave us. If someone does not vote, that is their choice, albeit I believe a wrong one. I do know that it is a natural response to disregard what those who do not vote think about those running for or in office. I am around someone like that on the daily - I have no idea the last time this person voted, but they are full of obnoxious opinions about all things political. IMO, it's rather a double-minded thing. I actually was disappointed to read RFK's policies (other than vaxxings) because they were socialist to the core. I am glad he suspended his campaign and thrown his support behind DT. I'm not copacetic about him becoming part of DT's administration as a health-watcher (whatever the title will be). Simply because the health of the American people is outside the purview of government. Anyway, it would have been interesting to see if RFK were more like his uncle. JFK was a Dem, but he was more constitutional than the rank-and-file GOP is today. That said, during this cycle, the closest is Trump. I do not like him. Nor do I trust him. But here's the thing: KH is poison. TW is poison. Serious poison. They do not want to IN ANY WAY be constrained by any part of the Constitution (just listen to all they plan to "do" and you'll get that). In effect, our votes will be AGAINST KH more than FOR DT.

  8. It seems like we're not attracting the best people from other countries like we did in the past. We already have enough challenges with some of our own citizens; we don't need to take on problems from other countries as well.

  9. I believe that he did forgive them. He gave them coverings from animals for their naked bodies, the blood of those animals being shed. It's apparent that Adam and Eve learned of the shedding of blood for sin as their son Abel knew of an acceptable offering before God. So, exactly how would it have helped US to being pleasing before God? Please, explain your line of reasoning.

  10. In most cases, voting is the right thing to do. We try to the best of our ability to make the right choice. There are cases where the person you gonna pick is not really the best choice. The word voting for the less of two evil should never be used. We should be voting for the best person that can do the job. Being a independent voter, I believe at this time Trump, is the better person. But at the same time, I believe us Christians, will regret this later. True Christians all should vote against liberalism. Today you have Christians voting and supporting for people that support abortion, gay marriage, which is incorrect.

  11. I believe that #3 can be answered pretty easily with the Word of God: 1 Corinthians 3:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

  12. I don’t like any of the theology of any of these mentioned above because they are Calvinist. I like Billy Graham and Adrian Rogers . Calvinist teach against the Blood of Jesus to save you from your Sins because they believe God chose before the foundation of the world who was going to Heaven or Hell. Calvinist believe the elect and God predestination was for people to go to Heaven or Hell and it nothing you can do to change that. Jesus says Whosoever calls upon the Name of the Lord will be saved. God gave me a choice to believe in the Blood of Jesus and ask forgiveness of my sins and I will be Saved. So by believing in The Virgin Birth, Jesus Christ lived on earth to teach us how to live. The death on the Cross for the sins of the world,and burial of Jesus Christ, and Rose on the Third Day, walked the earth and ascended into Heaven. This was foretold and it took place like it was predicted. So if you believe in Calvinism what makes you believe that you are one of the elect to go to Heaven especially if you never repented of you sins like Jesus Teaches us to do to have eternal life.
