Shoulder Patches

I have been collecting law enforcement, secuirty and military
uniform shoulder patches for sometime now. With extra caution
added to security because of the terrorist attacks on this Republic
back on 11 Sept. 2001, collecting these is a challenge.

My most interesting challenge came from the Israeli Government.
I emailed thier public-affairs officer and simply requested one. He
emailed back requesting the following:
-A verifiable street address.
-A verifiable working telephone number.
-A verfiable e-mail.
-My reason(s) for requesting one, and,
-The name, address, telephone number and email of a local law
enforcement source with the RANK of Captain of above.

I asked permission from a friend of mine who holds the rank of Major
with our police department, to use his name, etc and explaining my reasons
for doing so, and he gave me the green light. I sent that information.

Two weeks later I receive a regulation jacket patch worn by the officers and
agents of the Israel Police.

Oh, and the Israel Police ran a check on me with the FBI. I must be a good boy
or something, because the boys in Washington cleared me.

Robert did your neighbors get interviewed? boss? family? If not than they really didnt search into your past much Had a teacher at the community college nearby that taught Political Science among other classes. He is Irish, and knows someone who has connections to the IRA. While in the process of emailing or talking on the phone with him, some combination of words triggered something. FBI visited the college and of course cleared him.
