This is a very good topic. I am a christian who has a spirit of fear most of the time especially when it concerns the safety of my family. Please pray for me because sometimes I feel that I am beginning to develop a "paranoia". I am not even sure if this is a right term but I am always fearful.

I am not pointing a finger at anyone. I am saying that we are continally exposed to an enviornment of fear and it may help all of us to review scriptures that can be hid in our hearts that we will not succomb to the temptation to fear.

I'm not pointing a finger either, but I know what I see. Because of situations in my life, I had to battle fear myself. When I chose to rely on the Lord and trust Him, my fear has gone away. It still tries to creep up and when it does I pray and read the bible and the fears go away. When I went to the doctor and they found out what I went through, the first thing I got asked was if I wanted anxiety drugs or couseling. I chose to trust in God and haven't needed either. I go to a really great bible study at my church too. The closer I am to the Lord, the less things of the world effect me. Even my own trials I am still going through. God wants our trust and faith. When He gets it, He does incredible things in your life.

Having dealt with the media for years, I find most of them full of half truths. They like to add to or take away from what you said to make the story sound more interesting. Its all about ratings and selling papers. Sadly people, including Christians have bought into the lies.

The bible says things will get worse and not to be suprised when they do. When your persecuted for Christ think it not strange. Yet we have developed a "VICTIM" mentality in America, and it stems from fear.
