Of course it is...God the Father gave all authority to Jesus Christ, God the Son, (Jesus said that he and the Father were one and that all who saw the Son had seen the Father) and that all should be drawn to Christ through the convicting power of God the Holy Spirit. You truly need to learn how to rightly divide the Word of God. Jerry 1 Quote
Members Napsterdad Posted May 3 Members Posted May 3 John 1:1-3 & 14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. Genesis 1:1 etc. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth... The Hebrew used for God throughout the Genesis creation account is “Elohiym”, which is plural. This speaks of the trinity, God in three parts: Father, Son, Holy Spirit. The Genesis account of creation is clear that God created all things: “And God said”. John 1 is clear; Jesus created all things. God and Jesus are one. Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Again the plural Elohiym saying Let us (plural) make man in our (plural) image, after our (plural) likeness. Man made in the image of God; soul, body and spirit. Three parts, one being. 1 John 5:5-8 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? 6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. John 10:30 & 38 I and my Father are one. 38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him. Quote

Members BrotherTony Posted May 3 Members Posted May 3 The Bible itself tells us to "rightly divide" the Word of God. You're continuing to show your ignorance of the things of God. That IS taking the Bible itself as it is. Quote

It's not that hard to understand. You might want to go back to your Jehovah's Witnesses friends for a cheering section. You won't get one here. Quote

When asked during his trial if he was the Son of God, he said "I AM."..the name of God. In Genesis 1 God the Father said Let US make man in OUR image." Quote

Were the Apostles part of the Trinity? 17:11- And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. Quote

Again, context, content, and comprehension. Christ NEVER claimed that the apostles were a part of the Godhead. I can't believe that you are intentionally that obtuse. Jerry 1 Quote

You quoted Jesus when he said the SAME THING about the Apostles. Quote
