Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

I thought this verse was that of serving others. Works

What does the Bible say regarding minding your own business, and Is staying quiet a sin?

Thanks, TGL ?

Years ago I learned from someone who had a heart problem while we were talking on the phone long distance,  who within five hours had 3 stnts put in against their choice (they were not in a position to resist the 'authorities' at the time) ,

that they knew or learned very quickly (within the week),  that they did not have to do what the 'authorities' said,  regardless how well 'educated' the 'authorities' were or pretended to be.

For the first time in decades,  we both separately learned that gse was an option ,  an option they were not given nor granted nor informed about;   an option with spectacular and always better results (than stnts).

Now, then, knowing this,  should I,  should we,  should anyone who knows this,  stay /remain quiet?    Does knowing what is right to do make it an obligation to do it,  even if someone does not at all want to even know ?

I believe in certain cases staying quiet is a sin.  If I know what can make you live and feel better health wise, and I don’t tell you. I believe this is a sin. Health wise if I tell you that this will help you, but it really doesn’t work, could also be sin.

It's not a sin to not tell people how to fell better... It's a sin to warn them against sinning. Health choices do not fall into that category.
Thankfully, cause there's plenty enough people not minding their own business about others' health!

Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

It is wrong to not to reprove the unfruitful works of darkness, but meddling in somebody's medical or financial choices is simply out of my area of expertise.  I mean, what if I'm wrong?

It's a warning against neglect.

Is your original question should I mind my own business or should I mind the business of others?

My own first, then others.

What prompted this question?   Did someone seem to you to get into your business,   or were you wondering whether to warn someone of a danger ?

According to Proverbs 12:1, a wise person loves correction and instruction because they understand that they are only learning more and getting wiser. The verse suggests that rejecting correction is foolish and shortsighted. Proverbs 9:8 advises not to rebuke a mocker, as they will hate you, but to rebuke a wise man, and he will love you. The verse emphasizes the importance of accepting correction and learning from it.
 Proverbs 12:1

Proverbs 12 ►

King James Bible

1Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: ...

2A good man obtaineth favour of the LORD: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn....

5The thoughts of the righteous are right:  ....

18There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.
