Members Invicta
A counterfeit has to be as near a copy as possible or it would ne instantly noticed. Where I used to work, we had a number of counterfeit £20 notes presented. They were so bad we noticed them immediately. On other occasions we have had some so good only our bank noticed them and rejected them. When Constantine made himself head of the church, some realised the counterfeit and separated from it. The Waldensians ( although they were not known by that name at the time,) realised it and separated from it. Although they claimed it was due to the then Bishop of Rome, Sylvester. Many who had lived under persecution by the empire incluing Eusebius, welcomed the relief from persecution not realising the dangers. Gradually, changes came to be added. Several decades ago, I read a book called Platina's list of Popes, or something similar. He said one pope added one thing and the next something else, and so it went on, each added just a little so it was hardly noticed. The true church and conterfeit church contrasted. "THE BRIDE, THE LAMB'S WIFE." "THE HOLY JERUSALEM" The true Church In blue. "THE WHORE THAT SITTETH UPON MANY WATERS" "BABYLON THE GREAT" The counterfeit Roman Church in red. Rev 21:9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife. Rev 17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: Rev 21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, (The bride under another symbol.) Rev 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. Rev 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Rev 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Rev 17:6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus:

Catholic Church or Universal Assembly. That sounds more accurate than I realized. Man, the devil really pulled a fast one. I'm going to see if katholikos is in the Greek New Testament. "Catholic" is in the titles of James, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, 1 John, & Jude in my Beza 1598 Textus Receptus, which the KJB is based on, printed by the Trinitarian Bible Society. Christ said "I will build my Church" not churches. This will consist of all blood bought souls. A local church can never be called "The Church" because tares will always creep in, whoever careful we are. The Catholic Church is the pope's counterfeit church, counterfeiting the one true church, every believer in Christ. Whereas the true church is the holy bride of Christ, the Pope's church is the harlot. The complete opposite. Put your fists down. I'm not that interested in the brawl to get involved that deeply. Or rather it shows the level of concern for accuracy - if you agree with GP you can post anything you like and he doesn't care.

Or maybe Russ got sick and doesn't have a moment from all the coughing and gagging and clearing his head that he doesn't worry too much at the moment about someone I usually agree with and have the flexibility for knowing his meanings even when he says things that you think are in error DaveW. Remember DaveW - we all have other lives than our OB life. And David is a personal friend of mine off-line, as well as Ian, and we converse quite often about things, and do understand each other. So flexibility is a trait between real friends. We don't always agree, yet we are strong enough to let each be faithful to his own convictions and be respectful of their convictions. Friendship - I love it! Edited January 14, 2017 by Genevanpreacher Added personal note.

I read each verse David quoted and I agree with his assessment. Would you like to point out the inaccuracy for me? Maybe I am missing something - or maybe it's because it's after chapter 4:1 ? I don't always agree with GP, but that doesn't mean I can't sometimes agree with him. And if you ever took notice, I, from time to time agree with you. If I think either of you are correct, I agree. There are two cities,New Jerusalem , the Holy Jerusalem. And Babylon, the mystery. Mystery Babylon the Great. Startlooking at it that way and you may have something to say.
