Members John Young
By now you may have heard about Kyle Odom. He is the man that tried to kill Pastor Tim Remington of "The Alter Church" up here in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, this last Saturday, March 5th, and then flying to Washington DC to warn the President of the Martians hiding among us. Its my opinion that after reading his letter to KHQ, the local news station, that this guy was possessed/opressed by devils and over time increasingly manipulated by them. Here is the link to the letter: http://ftpcontent.worldnow.com/khq/ODOMDOCS.pdf I could not help but have the opinion that from his own words he most likely was progressively being oppressed/possessed by devils which started at his meditation "experience" and which eventually pushed him to his mental delusions. He did not personally believe in God or the spiritual world so the only way he could rationalized it was to call "them" martians who "telepathically" communicated only to him. He could not believe they were in his head so he projected "them" on to others around him. His own spirit seeking help directed him to The Alter Church but "they" kept him from getting spiritual help there. Kyle was clearly a smart and rational man trying to make sense of what was happening to him but when one who is not born again spiritually, with the spirit of Christ in themselves, they will never be mentally prepared to deal with the wiles of an all too real devil. Now that he is in custody I'll be praying that Kyle gets the Spiritual and mental help that he needs to be freed from "them". Members John81
While Scripture continually points to the reality our fight is spiritual we too often ignore that and attempt to look and deal with everything in the natural. I pray the Lord will send someone to this man which the Holy Ghost can use to reach him with the Gospel. John Young
Members swathdiver
Pray that while he's in custody, that Godly men from organizations like the Rock of Ages prison ministry get to him before the heretics that essentially own the "God Pods" in America's jails. The God Pods are full of all manner of error and deception and few that are released ever show that they were scripturally born-again. How can they be with all the phony bibles in the prison jails? All the men and women preachers coming to visit and leaving their study guides filled with heresy and their rock-n-roll music and jibber-jabbering tongues and writhing around on the floor during their concerts? Yes, pray indeed for the Lord to send a Bible man to lead this broken and fallen man to Christ. John Young
Members John81
Sadly, when I was in prison ministry many years ago, most of the Christians who came in and conducted services and events were Charismatic or Pentecostal. Only one prison had a solid Baptist who came in weekly and conducted a Bible study. He didn't last long as the new prison chaplain was very Charismatic and didn't think the Baptist with his half-dozen men in study was worthwhile. Prison chaplains tend to prefer entertaining services rather than evangelistic or teaching services. They draw larger attendance, make the prisoners feel good for awhile, and that makes the prison chaplain seem successful.
Members swathdiver
Independent Baptists have not been welcomed into our local county jails for regular visits and preaching for quite some time, near ten years or more. But they allow all manner of error inside which does their souls even worse, for some come to believe that they are indeed saved and going to heaven when they were not saved the bible way. Each weekend one county jail holds baptisms for all denominations.
