I am afraid not.  I think it is inevitable that the 3rd law of thermodynamics (entropy) will run it's course in human government.  I think this old world system has deteriorated to the point that there is no place to run but Jesus.  It is just to bad mankind didn't do it long ago and save a whole lot of misery.

I have been watching France 24 on and off since lunchtime.  The outrage in Paris has been the only news on there.  The three gunmen spoke perfect French leading to speculation that they were French nationals.

This is why nations once had the good sense to be very selective in who they allowed to live within their borders. It was recognized ones nation was their home and best suited for "family" and those who were actually willing and able to become a part of the national family.

Trouble is that  thousands of immigrants are pouring into Europe.  There was the case last week when two cargo ships carrying about 1,500 immigrants which were abandoned by their crews.  At least 3,000 were drowned last year trying to reach Europe.  They pay 1,000s of $ to traffickers to get to Europe then they are abandoned. Most of these at present come from Iraq and Syrian, but also from Somalia and other countries.

America is flooded each year with illegal immigrants, most of which have not desire to become Americans or to assimilate into America. They want to take all the benefits they can from our country even while working and waiting for the day they can claim their own slice of America for themselves. Mexico and Mexican nationalists have made it very clear they are intent upon seeing the American Southwest either restored to Mexico or becoming a new Mexican-dominated nation, or nations. Muslims have clearly declared their goal of conquering "Christian Europe" through mass immigration, high birth rates, terror and war. The Chinese have made no secret of their intent to run roughshod over their neighbors once they achieve the military capacity to either force America from the region or defeat the American Pacific Fleet in a direct confrontation. China already has over two dozen America cities targeted with ICBMs and have previously threatened the possible destruction of L.A. to show their resolve.

 

Blindly clinging to their false ideologies, the West ignores these facts and conduct their affairs as if their dream of Utopia were a reality in progress. In the meantime, they sow the seeds of their own destruction.

The paper which was struggling financially on 60,000 copies per week, plans a 1,000,000 print run next week with all proceeds going to the families of those killed.  The govt will try and free 1 million Euros to support the magazine and a number of papers have either reprinted the offending cartoons or plan to do so. The slogan "je suis Charlie" "I am Charlie" has been taken upthroughout France and indeed the word.

Not often do I disagree with you Invicta, but I do on this one.  A little more checking on Charlie Hebdo might change your mind about it being a journalistic publication.  It was a leftist rag with questionable morals.  (do not do the following search if you do not have a strong stomach and definately don't do it with women or children around) If you do a search in Google.com for "charlie hebdo" you may change your mind about the value of such a publication.  One of the results for the search is "Images for Charlie Hebdo".  With that I leave the Charlie Hebdo publication in the trash heap where it belongs.

I agree with you.  I did intend to add that it is a satirical rag.  But I had prOBlems posting and as you can see, eventually it got posted twice.  

 

I am not sure about your description of Leftist.  Anarchist perhaps.  The satirized all political parties, including the left.  I have been wondering if there is ant significance in the name.  Hebdo means weekly. Charlie, perhaps after Charlie Chaplin.  I did see a picture of the latter when they showed a clip from inside the office. However the French call Chaplin "Charlot".  

 

One commentator said that the media seemed to try to cover up the fact that the second siege was in a jewish supermarket, but those I heard kept saying that it was a Jewish Kosher supermarket. The name of the store was Hyper Cacher.  Cacher means to hide.  However Kacher as a verb is French for Kosher. and as an adjective it is Cacher

A news report from Marseilles yesterday said that many Jews in the city are afraid and are planning to leave the country. Fro the same city we saw a Jew holding a placard saying he loved the Musulman and a Muslim standing  next to him saying he was a Musulman who loved the Jew.  They then hugged each other.
