Zephania 3:8c "…for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy."

 

Exodus 34:14 “For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:”

 

2 Peter 3:12 “Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?”

 

I wonder how much more terrible God’s righteous display of jealousy could be if He didn't constrain it to fire?

 

I'm not intending to be irreverent, just a thought from Bible reading this morning.
