zyzzyva
zyz·zy·va [ziz-uh-vuh] Show IPA
noun
any of various South American weevils of the genus Zyzzyva,  often destructive to plants.

Dave you were kidding me, right.  :smug:  Oh, come on, everyone knows that.  :th_wellduh:  I cheated.  I looked up the last word in the English dictionary.

God bless,
Larry

I just want to know how many scrabble points that word would be worth, especially if it used a triple word square!

You can use "car" in scrabble and that is a noun.
Proper nouns can't be used in scrabble - as this is a "family name" fir a class of creatures, it should be allowable.
Like "palm" refers to a class of tree, or "ant" refers to a class of insect, so zyzzgyzzusesitzz......zzzzzz ( ) should also be allowable.

As to score.... if you can find a way to put that word on the board and cover a triple square, I reckon that's an automatic win. ;)

Don't pay any attention to spoilsports like biblebeliever.  You can use the word if you want to, that is if you have enough Zs in your scrabble box. :clapping:

I still think it is an automatic win, regardless of points.

You can have zzyzyva. I want the winning word that broke a scrabble record for 2,044 points. LOL

How could you score that many points with "LOL"?

Sesquioxydizing is 62 points, but if used on atop, bottom or side, it covers three triple word squares for a score of 62x27=1674.

Now, that should be the last word! LOL

However you will never have that many tiles at any given time to make that word.

not at one time, but one could start with ZING, then add OXYDI, then add SESQUI.

All three entries would score points. The last scoring the 1674.

are those last two real words or just additions to the first one?

first you would have to zing+oxydi and that is not a word, then add sesqui.

I can't find that word anywhere. Where did you get it?  Nor could I find zyzzgyzzusesitzz.

zyzzyva
