Okay I'm not sure how to explain what my computer is doing lately.

Even after replacing my keyboard and mouse, and doing virus scans and fixer-uppers on my computer, it is still acting up.

In IE (which I don't use much anymore) the menu bar still flickers on and off, rendering it fairly useless.

In Chrome, these black bars randomly pop up that disappear if I click on or near them. On some chat boards, if I backspace, it overlaps what I already typed, until I click out side the box somewhere and then it will show up correctly. A couple times, it just refused to type anymore lines...I'd hit return and it would just keep blinking where it was at.

We also have a fairly new video card as well.

What in the world....?

Update the video graphics driver software.

Hm. Ok. Is there something that can do that automatically? Like if I go into control panel or something?

Use the windows update feature and let it recommend updates; if the video/graphics update is in there, give it a go. Or, go to the video/graphics card manufacturer's support website and download your model's latest driver and install it.
