I try to pray for all the believers around the world daily. There are so many believers in China, middle east, south america, kenya and so many other countries that are being beaten, stripped of everything, and killed for the cause of Christ. We do have it good here in the U.S. I do believe in the next 20 yrs we will be in this situation in this country.

Yes! Thank you...trc. These Christians are really in "harm's way." While we enjoy our luxuries (for the time being) they are facing another Holocaust. **Praying for the Iraqi Christians** as they serve Jesus Christ...and, face persecution from the enemy. :pray

M computer is dragging big time tonight. I caught a bit of the story earlier but I didn't catch whether these Christians are true, born again Christians or some variety of professing Christians. It helps to know which they are, if we can, when praying for them.

In any event, yes we are to share one anothers burdens and praying for fellow Christians is a part of that.

When they are running from persecution because they would not convert to Islam; I'm assuming there is something real there........perhaps not; but my first thought is not to the negative..................but to positively pray for anyone with enough fortitude to say NO, I will not convert to Islam and would rather die.

I had no negative thoughts, actually positive thoughts. If they happen to be lost "Christians" then they certainly need prayer they would come to Christ in the midst of this.

In that region there are Catholics, Coptics, Orthodox, and various other "Christian" sects.

Typically, the media doesn't differentiate between biblical Christians and anyone else who calls themselves Christians.

In any event, I'm praying for them but it's always good to be able to be as specific as possible, especially when the fate of someones soul might be hanging in the balance.

Well...I do know that shortly after US troops went into Iraq...our missionaries were riding on the heals of the US troops. YAY! They started the First Baptist Church of Baghdad in Iraq in and around 2003-2003. So...I am praying that the area has somewhat become evangelized since then. When you have nothing...Jesus is the answer. :bible: I just wish that our nation would be this receptive to God's Holy Word.
