Being blind, I used to get all of my 'talking books' from the Library of Congress. I also received many a braille book from them.

I visited there when I was in Washington! What an amazing old building. It took a while to get signed up with a library card so I could go in the main reading room, but it was totally worth it. Such amazing architecture! They have this tunnel under the road that connects the main buildings, but there are no clearly marked stairs to find your way out again - quite the adventure, exploring the bowels of the old building! I found it rather amusing that it was the only building we entered that had security checks on the way out as well as the way in.
