Hey can you help me find some scriptural referances where other people are used to change the path of someone else? To bring them back to where they are supposed to be. For some reason I am drawing a blank.

How about this

Jam 5:19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;
Jam 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

That helps but, can you think of any where the soul reason for these peoples being seems to be giving their life for someone else, besides the obvious.(yet that wasn't his only purpose)

Do you mean the verse about no greater love than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends?

Maybe something like that, i really am having a hard time saying what I mean,

Do you believe that God may use a persons death, or an accident to affect the things that we do, maybe to stop us from running from him. thats what I'm getting at.

God uses anything...

God used the death of Anninias and Sapphira to put fear over the church of God and set them straight.

Is that what you mean?

God used the illness and death of my parents when I was a teenager to save me. If I had not had to go through that very difficult time in my life, things most likely would have turned out quite differently. My parents were divorced at the time, and my mother (who had professed to be saved when she was young) had lived the majority of her life wayward. She suffered from cancer for over 5 years. Ironically, she believed that God was punishing her for the way she had been living her life, but I think she would rejoice knowing that even if that were the case, God used her suffering to bring me to repentance. Praise God, He can and does use many instances in our lives to get our attention and bring us to Him.
