Welcome! Wow that's pretty cool, a Kentucky accent and a British accent couple. Love it! May I ask how you met?

Miss Linda,

I noticed that your location mentions that you're from Ulster. That's awesome! My wife and her Dad's side of the family are from Ulster. In fact, I'll be going over there next month for a couple of weeks. :D

Kentucky Joe, perhaps you could post pictures of your visit to Ulster when you return? I'm sure everyone would enjoy them.

Go mbeannaí Dia thú!

I *think* we will be at Hayes Town Chapel next Sunday evening. That is Father's Day, so my wife wants to go spend the day with her Dad. I think we'll be going to church with them that evening.

I'll have to confirm that with the boss, though! :bonk:

I met your in-laws at Hayes yesterday. They told me about your bereavement & your sudden return to America. I am sorry to hear of your loss, & trust that the God of all comfort will be close to you & the family at this time.

They are retired London City Missioners, now living in a bungalow bequeathed to the mission.

The Anniversary meeting was about Wm Tyndale, the situation in England in the early 16th C, his translation work & the impact of the first printed English Bible. But how could the speaker fail to mention Wycliffe, whose translation 150 years before created the hunger for the Bible in English? Wycliffe's followers, aka "Lollards" spread the word, preached the Gospel, & hand copied the sacred text. Despite the Bible burning & persecution, there are still nearly 200 copies today.

I look forward to meeting you.

Hi K-Joe, I just joined too.

So you guys are intending to stay over there, right? The church scene is a lot different, but I guess it teaches us all to put things in a broader perspective, Biblically.
