When I went to rent a copy of True Grit (the new one) I stumbled across a movie at the video store called KJB:The Book that Changed the World. I highly recommend this movie. Very well done and beautifully filmed on location in Scotland and England. The movie deals in a large part with King James himself and what led to the translating of the KJB. I think any preconceived images you have of King James the man will be shattered by this movie. On the most part the Special Extras are pretty good. Mostly historians and thelogians talking about the KJV. I wouldn't call this a Christian movie yet it does maginify the KJB. Check it out.

Sounds interesting!

(Did you rent the new True Grit? Curious as to how it compares to the original.)

It's basically the same except the story is driven more by the girl Mattie than it is by Marshall Cogburn. Of course the look was more authentic and they used hymns like Leaning on the Everlasting Arms for some of the soundtrack which was a nice touch.

Thank you!
