Why should I be concerned?

Okay, so why should I be concerned about a secular law concerning marriage...DOMA?

I suppose that might depend upon just what you mean by "concerned".

Some are concerned because they see this as another example of America becoming more ungodly.

Some are concerned because they see political defeat in this.

Some are concerned because they know God's judgement upon America will be great.

We should perhaps be concerned that such is so acceptable today, along with so much ungodliness, and should serve as yet another reminder that America needs evangelized just as much as any other nation. Are we concerned enough to spread the Gospel, witness to the lost, to pray for lost souls, to fast and pray for however long it takes for revival, to be the salt and light, to deny ourselves and be about the Lord's work?

No matter what law is on the books of nation, it will not change the heart of man. Our job it to plant seed, hoping they will accept Jesus as Savior.

My concern is I hate to see America go in this direction. So because of my concern I pray that our leaders will be convicted, turn, and truly follow Jesus.

Of course if they do they will quickly be kicked out of office.

In the end the justices will probably rule that law unconstitutional.

One of the reasons America is as it is today is due to so many Christians ignoring or rejecting the commands of Christ to spread the Gospel and to so live in Christ that others see Christ. Instead, most American Christians took one of two different paths...one to withdraw from public matters and basically "sit it out", the other to engage heavily in politics and political action in order to bring about change. Neither approach is biblical and both approaches have served to move America in the wrong direction.

Christ said "if ye love, keep my commandments".
