Are Christians Disposable People?

I recently listened to a report on the persecution of Christians in Afghanistan. And while America supports the present government with money and troops, I believe we are complicit in this destruction of human life. Which leaves me to wonder if the world (America included) sees Christians as disposable people?

The lack of media attention for Christian persecution really speaks volumes as to the apathetic condition in our so called "Christian" nation. But of course, we are quite adept at turning a blind eye to the slaughter of people. After all, we take pride in our freedom to kill preborn babies while spending billions of tax dollars annually to support unconscionable government grants and programs Planned Parenthood profits from.

Which leaves me to wonder just how long before the American government begins to openly persecute its Christians? After all we won't bow the knee to Caesar... The Holy Spirit has given us new hearts and renewed our minds. We are no longer in the kingdom of darkness -- our King is Jesus Christ and it is His Name and honor we now live for; seeking His Glory gives our lives meaning. We cannot be silent about our Savior, nor can we bear to see His glory shared with false gods made by men's imaginations and hands. We have come from spiritual death to glorious life and we cannot keep it a secret! In fact, we must not keep it a secret! Each and every Christian is now a soldier in the Lord's army and we have been given this commission from the lips of our Lord:

Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to OBserve all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
(Matthew 28: 16-20 KJV)

So, dear brothers and sisters in Christ, let us not become weary in doing our Lord's will, but instead let us renew our commitment to bring all the nations under His Sovereign reign and to fight evil with all the strength of our faith. Then we will be blessed to hear our King say "Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world..."
